I say we should have the same award voting that they do in college football. This is my concept:

A small committee nominates the top 5 players for these 15 awards (Fancy College Award Names Optional)

Maxwell Award (MVP)
Davey O'Brien Award (Best QB)
Doak Walker Award (Best RB)
Biletnikoff Award (Best WR)
John Mackey Award (Best TE)
Outland Trophy (Best OL)
Dave Rimington Award (Best C)
Chuck Bednarik Award (Best Defensive Player)
Lombardi Award (Best DL)
Dick Butkis Award (Best LB)
Jim Thorpe Award (Best DB)
Lou Groza Award (Best K)
Ray Guy Award (Best P)
Randy Moss Award (Best RET)
Rudy Ruettiger Award (Best ST Player)
Coach of the Year Award

Each team would get one vote for each award and that would add so much greatness to this league and would keep interest all the time. What you guys think. Erik is you could sticky this....

I think he was talking about using this as the setup for the end of the season. Not to nominate people now. Good layout, can't wait to see the results at the end of the year.

an Oceania league named the trophies after the first guys than won them, e.g. Nathaniel Potowomut award for the best TE.

I'm not sure though that I'd like to see a "GonnaScrewYou-award" for example, if the best OL would have that name (don't know if there is one with that name - just meant as an example).

if you wanna stick to the original names - there's also a name for the best KR award, the "Randy Moss Award" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Randy_Moss_Award)

Yeah well I was going by what NCAA 09 has and they don't have a name but I knew their was one. Thanks! Yeah I didn't mean to start nominating people now but we could get things ready for it. I say we keep a weekly tab of who's at the top 3 or 5 of each stat category. That way people know if their in the running.

Cuz they are all based off of the legit college names they have. Randy Moss got the college KR award named after him. He was a stud returner in college. That's just what I'm going by - College award names.

Agreed.

Yeah. We'll they should be allowed to vote for their own player if he was nominated. It's not like everyone votes for a random player. I say we get together like 5 good users to nominate people at some time in the near future and then send PM's out to owners about voting. Whatever we get back is what we'll use to tally.
