East Cairo Argonauts (1-5) at Stockholm Black Death (6-0) 14-17

Worried fans at the Kyrkogården had to wait until the 4th quarter for their team to lead after the Argonauts jumped out to a 14-3 lead at the half. Stockholm's great defense kept them in the game by keeping the Argonauts off the board after their early two TDs and the offense finally managed to punch it in late when Black Death HB Anasaki Nelson punched it in from half a yard out for his second TD on the day.

Torpedo Cowthorpe (4-2) at København Hühnerfalken (5-1) 45-70

The Killing Field was indeed pulsing with the blood of the Hühnerfalken's opponent the Torpedo Cowthorpe as København scored more points than a suburban high school basketball team. Despite a very capable Torpedo offense that put up 45 points of their own, the Cowthorpe D seemed hell bent on rushing every defender at the Hühnerfalken offense and they paid a steep price. København QB's Danny Kanell and Da Sniper scored each scored 5 TD's and stud Hühnerfalken WR Bad Habit averaged an ungodly 49 yards per catch and a TD on each of his 4 grabs.

Ingolstadt was able to move the ball well on the ground and WR Irish Micky Ward was dynamite in the redzone, coming down with 2 TD's and 68 yards on 6 catches. The ECA v SBD game was a defensive nail biter, CC v RRR, thought RRR would win that one and for much of the game it looked like they might, one of two huge defensive stands by CC and the 99yrd TD drive inside the last 2 mins were just enough to tip the game in our favor. Great game RRR !

Wonderful write ups again Merenoise, no idea how long it takes you to write them up but they are something I look forward to each game.

Takes between 30 and 40 minutes depending on how much I've had to drink. But they are fun to do and it gives me a chance to watch a little of every game.
