Kinda quite in here the last few days?!?

Just a reminder that I will not be able to do Week 7 and 8, maybe a good thing for Hutu and Felixtovar.

LION CONFERENCE:

Red Sea Wave 5-0-0 W5 vs Atlantic Blue Jays 3-2-0 W1
In Past season the Wave have blown out the Blue Jays, I forsee this being closer then it looks.

Katanga Diamonds 5-0-0 W5 vs African Fire 4-1-0 L1
How will the Fire respond with another test against a tough team..do they belong in the Top 4? Diamond look to keep their meeting with the Wave later this season as the Battle of the Unbeatens. Last meeting: Diamonds 76-37

Diamonds 31-21

Cape Verde Headhunters 4-1-0 W3 vs Warriors of Anubis 2-3-0 W1
Anubis moves up a few spots in the Power Rankings? A win here and they would keep working their way up. But in all honesty the Headhunters are strong...too strong for these Warriors. No Past Meetings

Headhunters 48-21

Freetown Palookas 4-1-0 W4 vs White Nile Piranha 2-3-0 W2
Palookas are still flying high and so are the Piranhas after their 2nd win in a row after starting 0-3. Palookas keep moping up teams that won't make the playoffs and make a strong argument that they will have a playoff spot locked up before the last game of the season. No Past Meetings

Palookas 72-36

Band of Brothers 4-1-0 W2 vs Scottish Sharks 2-3-0 L2
Brothers keep moving up the standings. Shark's meanwhile start moving down the standings. Last meeting: Brothers 38-6..more of the same this season.

Brothers 38-6

Kilimanjaro Kamikaze 2-3-0 L2 vs Malagasy Bushmen 1-4-0 L1
Both teams trying to stay out of the cellar and welcome games like this where anyone can win. No Past Meetings, Definately a pickup game...but...

Kamikaze 21-20

Port Harcourt Playmakers 2-3-0 L3 vs Rhein Main Magic Mushrooms 0-5-0 L10
Is the sky falling in Port Harcourt? 3 Losses in a row? No worries this week as the Playmakers get back to .500 before 2 more tough games. Mushroom are starting to get those bags packed for A, don't buy the ticket yet...still plenty of games left. No Past Meetings,

Playmakers 51-28

Burundi Hutu 1-4-0 L4 vs Ethiopia Executioners 0-5-0
You can look at this prediction Hutu! We won't talk about Hutu's last few game, remember hindsight is 20/20. Executioners also are getting bags pack for A, look for game on 11/29 between the 0-5 teams to decide who get's their bags checked in and get's inline. Last meeting: Hutu 84-7

Hutu 74-7

ELEPHANT CONFERENCE:

Cairo Crocodiles 5-0-0 W5 vs Real Men of Genius 4-1-0 W4
Well if there was still a "Game of the Week" this would be it...this should be one of the better games this year I am hoping. RMoG are coming in on a 4 game win streak while Crocodiles haven't lost yet this season. No Past Meetings

RMoG 44-37

Richmond Raiders 5-0-0 W5 vs EEORG Bastards 3-2-0 W3
Another great game to be played this round of games. Both teams will be watching the above game...don't be surprised if these four teams have homefield going into the playoffs. No Past Meetings

Raiders 48-42

Cairo Cannibals 3-2-0 L1 vs Swaziland Semnikati 2-3-0 W1
If there was a few teams that could beat out one of the top 4, the Cannibals would be one of those teams...Don't be surprised if them or the Dragons shock everyone and go from A to AA and into a Homefield spot for the playoffs. Semnikatis are also no slouches I just like the Cannibals a bit better here. No Past Meetings

Cannibals 28-19

Rwanda Assassins 3-2-0 W2 vs Serengeti Wildebeest 1-4-0 L2
Assassins come in winning last 2 while Wildebeest come in with 2 losses, should be fairly easy game for the Assassins. No Past Meetings

Assassins 58-14

Lake M'Zumba Cannibals 3-2-0 W1 vs Dakar Dragons 3-2-0 L1
Winner of this game has an outside shot at one of those top 4 spots, I would have said Dragons, but the close loss to the Assassins makes me wonder. Both will make the playoffs this year. No Past Meetings

Cannibals 24-20

Zanzibar Leopards 3-2-0 L2 vs Trinidad Trojans 0-5-0 L11
Leopards had a tough close loss last game but rebound against the Trojans. Trojans give up their 3rd game of 255+.....They are getting better.....really they are. No Past Meetings

Leopards 196-7

Casablanca White Houses 2-3-0 W1 vs Zimbabwe Black Rhinos 1-4-0 L1
White Houses had a nice win last game. The Rhinos are definately better then there 1-4 record, but losing last game by 91 points?? With that starting lineup I don't understand how they loss by 91 points??

Rhinos 35-21

Cape Town Shinobis 1-4-0 L4 vs Sierra Leone Head Shrinkers 0-5-0 L6
It appears the Head Shrinkers are still making move trying to win a game...still might be 1 person short this game. Shinobis are thankful they got the 3 big teams out of the way and hope to string some wins together to make the playoffs.

Shinobis 44-31

POWER RANKINGS:

Had a little extra time and know there is already one out there, but thought I would take a few minutes to put one together too, I have combined both leagues. No Formula, just my opinion.

After doing this it seems the Elephant Conference is more top heavy at the top and has a huge difference between top to bottom teams in it. Lion Conference's winless teams are not all that bad actually.

#9 thru #28 are not that far apart

OVERALL:
1.Richmond Raiders 5-0-0 W5: Solid...have to prove me wrong to drop
2.Katanga Diamonds 5-0-0 W5: Team has really improved in over last 2 seasons
3.Cape Verde Headhunters 4-1-0 W3:Loss to Diamonds makes them #3 not #2
4.Red Sea Wave 5-0-0 W5: Still looking to play big-time teams
5.Band of Brothers 4-1-0 W2: Still a Force, loss to Headhunters make the #5 not #3
6.EEORG Bastards 3-2-0 W3: A lot better then their record
7.Cairo Crocodiles 5-0-0 W5: Haven't really played a Top level Team yet
8.Real Men of Genius 4-1-0 W4: Damn good for their Level#'s on their roster

10.Rwanda Assassins 3-2-0 W2: Closer games between top Opponents

RMoG 44-37

Hopefully this will be a good game and we can pull the upset, but I am not holding my breath on it. RMoG has a very impressive squad and them knocking off a great team like Zanzibar is all the proof anyone ever needs. Zanzibar was not able even make them punt the ball. I would say good luck, but I don't think RMoG will need it and besides, we need the luck.

Nice write up Uppnorth, thanks for taking the time.

Yeah, not to knock your team but you have played some pretty easy teams...win this game and I think that will put you in the Top 5 Teams for both leagues as far as my rankings go.

interesting rankings. EEORG is looking to earn some respect back in this league after (hopefully) a win against Richmond today. Their a great team, so we'll see how it plays out. Those two losses to start the season really hurt us. But we're looking for home field advantage in the playoffs this year. This is a great week for big games

I'm going to have to agree with Uppie and say that Aaron, the Bastards are a LOT better than your record ...

That said, the Richmond vs EEORG game should be a colossal contest!

Good luck to the both of you!

Uppie: Great read as always man. Go enjoy some quality time with the family
Minaras: We've enjoyed your stuff too man ... So yes, get drunk AFTER you do your write-ups
