Christchurch Nightmare vs. Ino Islanders 28-31
Ino pulled out a close one over the Nightmare! The Islanders seemed unstoppable through the air today...The nightmare have fallen to 2-3 and find themselves in a tough spot if they want to make the playoffs. And the Islanders have gained some momentum as they are on a 3 game win streak!
Gold Coast Marauders vs.Adelaide Black Snakes 87-30
The Marauders have proven once again why they are a force to be reckoned with in Alpha. the Marauders moved the ball at will....either by ground or air...it didn't matter. the Black Snakes didn't roll over though, and tried to come back to no avail. The Marauders remain unbeaten at 5-0, and the Black Snakes stumble to 1-4.
Tasmanian Devils vs. Sacramento Skidmarks 49-21
The Devils were very efficient with the football, and made quick work of the Skidmarks as they jumped out to a first half lead og 28-7. the Skidmarks turned the ball over 2 times, which proved too costly to overcome! The Devils are poised for a playoff run at 4-1, while the Skidmarks drop to 2-3 with hopes of making the playoffs slowly fading.
Kung Fu Pandas vs. Sacramento Gunslingers 7-51
the gunslingers defeated the rebuilding Pandas. Although the Pandas had an early lead (7-3), this rebuilding (slow build) effort didn't go down without some fight! That fight just happened to be snuffed out by the 2nd quarter...
The Pandas drop to 0-5, and are probably hoping there was some draft on the horizon, and the Gunslingers improve to 3-2 from the bye...I mean victory!
Kiribati Death Traders vs. Papeete Pirate Pandas 31-65
The Papeete Pirate Pandas have definitely grown under the new ownership...they are no longer the doormat of Oceania AA#3...Special teams played an important role in this game as the Pandas scored 2 touchdowns off of special teams play. the Death Traders did have a defensive touchdown as well, but the Pandas (and I never thought I would ever say this about the Papeete Pirate Pandas) were just too much for the Death traders.
Amishlongs Wrecking Crew vs. E.C. Express 17-119
My favorite matchup each week... The Express defeated the wrecking crew in quick, and overwhelming fashion...Nothing to see here folks....lol The Express improve to 5-0, and the Wrecking Crew are now 0-5.
Rawaki Island Phoenix vs. Guam Devil Dogs 0-45
Guam has proven to be a tough competitor and one of the top teams in Oceania AA#3. Second half adjustment were the answer to this game....7-0 at the half, Guam ran away in the second half with 35 unanswered points! Guam has now improved to 5-0, and RIP has fallen to 0-5.
New Zealand Knights vs. Cook Island Cobras 34-17
Whether you thought this game was an upset or not, it was a hard fought game! Cook Island's inability to stop the run proved to be very costly and one of the 4 remaining undefeated teams has fallen. Cook Island has dipped to 4-1 and the Knights have improved to 3-2.
