Week 5:
Berlin Storm vs Vienna Danube River Raiders
Berlin owns the #2 passing offense in Alpha, but the Raiders are no slouch in pass defense, so this is a wash. The Raiders are near the bottom in total offense and with a very poor rush defense playing a top 5 rushing team doesn't look promising. The Raiders look like they have some top talent but can't put the package on the field. Storm are firing on all 8 right now and have very even deep talent across the board. Storm big in this one.
Loch Ness Monsters at Christiania Tigers
This game features two stout rush defenses with the Monsters having a better rushing game on the other side of the ball, averaging over 250 yards per game. The teams are almost even on passing offense but the Tigers are giving up more on defense, to a tune of over 300 yards per game and the Monsters have only given up 2 passing TD's in the first 4 games. The nod this week goes to the Monsters to keep their streak alive, but it could be close.
Cardiff Dragons vs Little Italy Goodfellas
The Dragons win here as the recently CPU'd team there playing probably isn't game planning, even with all human players right now, but I would assume most, will be leaving the team in short order. Dragons by at least 21.
Dayton <-FnA-> vs Brussels Massacre
New league powerhouse team against a might as well be CPU team. Dayton in triple digits.
Dublin Boghoppers vs Paris Gloutons
Paris owns the 3rd best passing offense, however they also own the 3rd worst pass defense, and with the Boghoppers coming in at #5 offensively the Boghoppers will probably score more than a few TD's over the top. Paris don't run the ball very effectively as of late and they shouldn't try to get it started here as the Boghoppers have a very good rush defense, however Paris does need to control the clock to keep the Boghoppers offense off the field. Boghoppers in a good game.
Rome Wolfpack at Omaha Beach Blackshirts
The Wolfpack will have a hay day through the air as the Blackshirts are dead last in pass defense giving up well over 400 yards per game. The Blackshirts could try to run the ball to control the clock but the Wolfpack isn't a slouch against the run. The Wolfpack up big.
Athens Nighthawks at London Avengers
Closest game so far this week, to very even teams on the report. The Nighthawks are a run first team posting up nearly 300 a game while the Avengers defense allows less than 100. The Nighthawks have lost a league leading 7 fumbles, and the Avengers could capitalize on turnovers. The game will be a very close one with the Avengers coming out at the end.
Foy Destroyers at Amsterdam Smokers
These teams also match up well on paper, with the biggest difference being the Smokers have a much worst pass defense and could be hit hard in that area again this week but neither team particularly strong offensively. This game will probably low scoring. I am going with the Destroyers so my boy wyrebel has a chance of winning.
