Warrior General Games

I look on the forums every day about people complaining that the competition in their leagues is terrible and that they have no idea why league re-shuffling even occurred. They complain about blowouts and unrealistic scores. Here in WE BBB #1, that's not a problem we're dealing with.

In a handful of the other WE BBB leagues, there are awful scores. When we first joined I thought "Shit our league is stacked." but had no idea that it would end up being for the better. Any team could win any game.

We might just be in one of the "most real" leagues on GLB.

there was no restructuring here....its an expansion league ....all the crappest gutted teams etc are still in the A leagues in WE

but yes it's a good competetive league

Think the fact that we were the first bbb league filled is why this league is great. The best potential owners had been on the list longest. They had recruited teams before they had a team. We had a private forum setup mid last season for recruiting and general team talk......

I too looked at the league and went well its not going to be a cakewalk and in some respects was disappointing but I am happy now. It is better to have to actually game plan and have close games then watch stats get inflated.

Agreed. If this league doesn't force us to be better OC's, DC's, owners, then none of them will. I welcome the competition, even if I'm only 1-3 and know I could easily be 4-0 in a lesser league.

I've always favored the "jump in the deep end" approach to learning to swim. Trying to be a DC/pseudo-owner in this league is definitely a fun challenge!

Ditto. This league actually helped weed out a bad OC on my team which is forcing me to learn how to do it. I have done a lot of DC stuff but never OC. Hell of a learning curve. Still after the experience we all get this season I have a feeling all of us will be tough to deal with in other leagues.

A similar phenomenon happened in Africa A #1 (and, to a lesser extent, A #2) last season. There were two "slow-build" teams, but everyone else was there to play.

Yep. I DC for a team in Africa A#1 (Mikumi Black Bears). We had a tough go of it last season but have been able to go on an early run this season. Competition breeds competitors.

I know, every week and not one break. Other league you have gimmie games, you don't have to do anything, not here!

My Argonauts are 1-3 and I completely agree with you. I for one am welcoming the challenge you all are bringing to the table.

This league rocks. Looking at the schedule there are no gimme games, everyone on paper at least is in with a shout in every game and that sure makes it fun.

Whoever wins this league will without a doubt be worthy winners

You get one in two games.

We finally managed to start looking like the team I want us to be. A 1 point loss to iue5 and a 16 point win today helped the psyche of the Hat Tossers staff.

I think the same thing happens with every league release. When Europe East was released the #! league was really strong.
