Here we go boys, for another installment of predictions, this one with a special little twist at the end for one of our games of the week!
GOTW #1.
Belgrade Bulldogs (3-0) @ Clydesdale Colts (3-0)
Both of these teams have surprised the league with 3-0 starts, but that ends this week for someone. The Colts are a dual threat offense, highlighted by WR Guiseppe Marconi, who already has 11 TD catches. The Bulldogs have relied on a stout running game, and good defense, led by DE J Boy with his 7 sacks. When it comes down to it, I think the more tested Bulldogs will be the victors here. 20-10.
Oklahoma Yard Dogz (1-2) @ Basin City Blues (3-0)
The Blues are coming off a huge win last week, over the once league favorites, Bloodsuckers. With the place as the leagues top team up for grabs, Basin City looks to take it to the Yard Dogz, whose lone win came against Zeta's lowly Berlin team. BCB has to be careful for a trap game, but I think they cruise in this one, 70-7.
Transylvania Bloodsuckers (2-1) @ Vatra Dornei Wraiths (1-2)
These are two teams who have both suffered a hard loss this year, looking to rebound. The Bloodsuckers aerial attack was slowed down just enough last week to give BCB the win, while VD suffered a tough loss two weeks ago at the hands of Belgrade. Now they clash looking for revenge, or in the Bloodsuckers case, looking for Blood. I think the arm of Coker gets the 'Suckers back on track, and they win 45-21.
Off Topic (0-3) @ Spaniard Warriors (2-1)
The Warriors are coming off their own tough loss to the Bulldogs, host the lowly Topic. Not really much to say here, except to try and guess how many the Warriors will put up on them. I'm saying 131-10.
San Fransisco Mustangs (0-3) @ Belfast Brawlers (2-1)
Another David vs. Goliath matchup as the Mustangs head across the Atlantic to take on Belfast. I don't see this one being close, as Belfast should win by at least 50. I'm thinking 63-7.
Oklahoma Outlaws (1-2) @ Ithaca Space Munkees (2-1)
After making their claim for a championship early in the season, the Outlaws have suffered two straight losses, and are looking to get back on track against the Space Munks. The Munks are vastly improved this season, especially with the addition of QB J. Hawkeye, and look to hand Oklahoma their 3rd loss. This one will be close, but I think Oklahoma can squeeze out a 28-24 win.
Cartaxo Lethal Vindicator (0-3) @ San Diego Panthers (0-3)
The Garbage Bowl game of the week, is a pillow fight between these two teams. Cartaxo has yet to score a point, while San Diego also looks for their first win. I guess I gotta take SD in this one. 42-10.
GOTW #2
Dublin Drunken Monkeys (3-0) @ Kilkenny Cannibals (2-1) - Battle for the Gaelic Cup!!!!
Dublin heads to Kilkenny to face the Cannibals this week, in a matchup that is going to have major playoff indications. Not to mention these teams are battling for their rivalry trophy, the Gaelic Cup!!! Dublin looks to continue to dominate on defense, led by the leagues leading sack man Brain Paitaroo. Kilkenny, after their surprising week 1 loss to Dresden looks to win their 3rd straight, led by QB Meko Fountain. Now being the tough game to call this is going to be,(and me not trying to sound like a homer) this pick is up to you guys!!!!
In the first U'Pickem special! It's up to you guys to decide who is the predicted winner of the Dublin/Kilkenny game this week! Let the predictions and discussions fly!!!!
