OK guys..... This one is for both recently promoted and for existing AA # 3 teams.

If you have been recently promoted to AA Ball.... Which existing team in your mind is the toughest

If you were in AA # 3 last season which new team presents the biggest threat

Since I am asking this question... Singapore Nose is probably the toughest team we will face and since they just handled Ujung.... it makes me think that they are a step ahead of Ujung and 2 steps ahead of the rest of the league.

I can only speak to the guys that have been here, because I have yet to wrangle with many of you new guys yet. Ujung and Medan are two of the better teams still here. It was crazy how many teams they promoted out of here. This has been a VERY competive and hard league since inception, as the majority of the owners were very involved. A few sold, but most have been promoted. You guys are kind of the new frontier. We have the advantage over you guys, because we have been uncapped since Day 1. I will say though one of the promoted teams last year, handed us a loss in the playoffs, and is now in AAA. So you never know

Its a bit early to say at this point. I can see who has the highest "scouting" bars but thats not always a true measure of talent. A few more games and we will know.

Im afraid things are going to start going south for us very soon though.

Of the new guys Davao looks pretty stout. I really wish we played you guys NOW, while your Chemistry is down, but look forward to that game nevertheless

I am a GM on Davao and I am pretty familiar with the teams in this league. All I can say is that the playoffs are usually insane. Upsets galore! MushmouthMike is a classy guy. I didn't get along with alot of the owners in this league due to the fact that they where crybabies! most of them are gone...except for Vietnam, but that's water under the bridge and this league looks to be super competitive this season

You should have been around when I lost in the playoffs last year. I WHINED A LOT

lol.. We had a lot of Rivalries in the A league last year as well. A lot of the league was bummed that we were getting split up, but you all have made it very nice to be in AA so far. I'm looking forward to this league when it really begins to heat up.

This league is going to be so competitive that I will be surprised if one team really stands out as being far better than all the other teams. Game planning is going to play a huge part in this league. It's going to be an exciting season.

I am happy that Anchorage and the Shanghai Bucs got promoted to the same league this season. We have a very competitive and fun rivalry between us. We've beaten the Bucs both times in the regular season, but they've knocked us out of the playoffs each of the past 2 seasons. Jerks!

Thats a very interesting subplot....

How about this one.....

Davao Devil Dogs were 13-3 in season 4... lost in the reg season and in the playoffs to Rangoon in the 1st rd 24-23(Jakarta WTF at the time)

Davao Devil Dogs were 15-1 in Season 5 (# 1 Seed)... lost in reg season and in the 2nd rd of the playoffs to Rangoon 14-10

So in the course of 2 + seasons, Including playoffs we have lost 6 games..... 4 of them to Rangoon Typhoon.

We both got promoted to SE Asia AA # 3 and we are both in Alpha.

On the other hand... our other BIG rival is Vietnamese Sweatshop. They won the whole thing going away, went 15-1 and there was some heat on the A boards during the season. I talked some trash, we choked in the playoffs and they gave it right back to me as they cruised to the championship. Too bad they are in Zeta, I would love to renew our rivalry

Regardless there are some great subplots from last season and hopefully some new ones will be developed over time

Nose will be gone after this year....time to move up to take on some other teams...

Bulletin Board material? I am the first one to say watch what you say.... just becaue a team is damn good over the course of a season doesnt automatically guarentee promotion.

Season 1 of this league: 16-0
Season 2 of this league: 14-2
Season 3 of this league: 13-3

We have been HUMBLED in the playoffs, but it is still fun to talk shit and get some stuff going.

right...plus the sun shines on a dogs ass eventually....

This league has proved that being a top team in the regular season almost always guarantees an early loss in the playoffs. With that in mind I always worry about the teams that drag the bottom of the playoff eligibility.
