I figured I'd give this a shot for the Lion conference. I just came here from the Oceania Pro League so I don't know the teams here or their histories at all. So forgive me if I can only rank the teams by what I see on paper.
I do have to admit, looking at all of the teams in this league, it does seem that Elephant is the tougher of the two conferences.
I went over all of the rosters and based the rankings on level of players and depth of the team. Of course this is a shitty way to rank teams because a level 38 could have a horrible build compared to a level 35, but it's all I had to go on.
It's impossible to know who should be in 1st place compared to 5th and many of the teams in this Conference are very close in level and depth. So I'm grouping the teams by tier according to where they should finish in general. Like all good polls I'll give this one an error rating of +/- 3 spots
Somalia Wasps
Angola Spider Monkies
Charlie Don't Surf
Cameroon Outlaws
Cape Verde Kings
On paper, these 5 teams above should all be in the playoffs and fighting for the top 5 spots at the end of the season. They all are pretty evenly matched.
Dar es Salaam Warrior Kings
Angola Dream
These two teams are right there as well but are ranked lower only because of overall skill position level. They should both make the playoffs.
Tanzanian Morning Wood
Good passing attack but rushing and defense are a bit lower than the others. Should be right in the mix at the end.
Nigeria Nightmares
Rwanda Royal Knights
South African Ridgebacks
Windhoek White Rhinos
One or two of these four teams could make the playoffs if things break their way. All of them are balanced but have a few weaknesses compared to the teams ranked above them.
Djibouti Jackals
Wolfenstein Werewolves
Botswana Bugeaters
Sun City Undertakers
Of course my list could be a bucket of crap and one of these four teams could make it to the dance, but as it sits right now they each have a big hill to climb if they want to continue playing after week 16.
Good Luck everybody!! Here's to a fun year!!
