Or should I say, "Alpha < Zeta"? Inter-conference games are played in Week 1 from now on so winner gets bragging rights all season. Since I started the thread I guess I'll make my own predictions. Alpha teams will be the first team listed in each matchup with my winners bolded.

Guiness Celtic Warriors vs. Banzai Pipeline 'Nites

Aussie Cardinals vs. Melbourne Thorny Devils

Emerald City Flying Monkeys @ So Cal BDC

Fiji Sea Turtles vs. Barossa Grapestompers

Canberra Strike vs. Cook Island Convicts

New Zealand Burning Pride vs. Samoa Gangsters

Cascade Cajun Crushers @ Fiji Stingers

Brisbane Bandits vs. IC Incinerators

Brantford Mustangs vs. Saipan Fighters

Fakaofo Bomb Squad @ Jersey Wildcats

Palau Bull Sharks @ Vanuatu Kava Sharks

Mean Machine
vs. G-Town Connection

Tonga Ikale Tahi @ Brisbane Heat

Wagga Wagga Fighting Squirrels @ Tongan Crimson Auha

West Scranton Invaders
@ Co-op City Blitz

Melbourne Dreadnoks @ Brisbane Gods (might as well ignore this one)

10-6 in favor of Zeta in my prediction. I must admit that I have possible bias in a few evenly matched games since I GM the Brisbane Gods in Zeta, but not much...at least I don't think.

Who will come out on top?

I would probably swing the same way minus the Tonga game.

This one is tough. Should be an excellent game to open up the season. That game and the MM G-Town game would be on MNF for the opening double header.

Bomb Squad vs. Wildcats should be a good tilt

Gods vs. Dreadnoks should be solid as well

My thoughts exactly. At the risk of making enemies:

MTD is going to throttle Aussie
SoCal is going to win big over EC
Cook Island is going to win big over Canberra
Brantford should roll Saipan
Wset Scranton will bury Co-Op City

There's a couple of others involving promoted teams that I'm clueless about.

I'm kinda looking at Samoa Vs. New Zealand as being another one.

three teams rebuilding in alpha

Nites over Guinness

those are the matchups I meant.

sry fellow zeta teams lol. our debut was a bit of a shocking display of unexpected plans. like i said we are new here and it's hard to go off nothing, plus we were hurt in the offseason and need to build up the team depth wise. but i hope to turn it around soon.
