The printing presses are being worked on while we gear up for what looks to be an exciting season six in the Oceania Pro League of GLB. There have been a lot of changes with teams being sold, moving out of the conference due to numerous beat downs, and those teams moving into the league preparing to do what the Mean Machine did in season five.

A 32 game win streak is pretty impressive for the Mean Machine as they look to continue this streak. The So Cal BDC are looking to continue their 10 game win streak also as they look to be very competitive in season 6. The dark horse Saipan Fighters are gearing up for a playoff run this season after finishing the last three games of season 5 with wins. It will be a difficult trip for the Fighters with the great competition, as it will for every team in the League. Look for some great games this season.

Where does everyone stand? Stay tuned.

The season six schedules were released by the Oceania Pro League today and the Zeta Conference looks to be a very competitive league this season. Owners and coaches are working hard to get new playbooks in place before the first game of the season.

Like many teams this season the Saipan Fighters have many new faces in their locker room. Some already look to become superstars and others look to be nothing but trouble. To help the defense this season comicfanman worked hard in recruiting some top talent this off season. Comicfanman revamped his defensive backfield by bringing in free safety Gerald Alexander, strong safeties Hot Love and Piper Knight, and cornerbacks Jerry Wiggins, Carmine "The Snake" Persico, and Andre Woolfolk. Definitely an upgrade from season five. The Fighters were pretty lucky with only having to only find two linebackers and two defensive lineman this off season. Talented Stonehead Jackson and Jay Finn will help in the middle of the field. As far as the defensive line newbies Shane Thomas and Fierce Tackle are going to help stop the run the Fighters had such a difficult time doing in season five. Offensively the Fighters were pretty lucky to only have to bring in a few new faces. Fullback Lead Blocker was brought in to open some big holes for returning halfback Russell Brown and maybe actually giving the Fighters a running game this season. Travis Edwards looks to be an upgrade at the backup halfback position from last season also. The only other additions to the offense were two lineman to help open some holes for the running game. Big Pillar and Mini Baig are pumped up for their new roles at Saipan.

Comicfanman has also brought in a couple of new GMs for season six to help in the game planning aspect of the game. Ronin is bringing his expertise to help dabayrz out on the defense to help produce some more pressure and sacks, along with fixing the rushing defense from last season. Teuspi has stepped in to help bb174 and comicfanman on the offensive side to figure out a strategy to where they can open up the running game in season six.

With the coaching staff seeming to be working great together the same can not be said in the locker room and the practice field. Some returners are not happy that they have been replaced as starters. Fullback Big Stump is already stirring up trouble with Lead Blocker since being replaced in the depth chart. And then you have the new Prima-Donna offensive guard Mini Baig who feels he doesn't have to come to practice or the team mettings. He is a talented lineman, but don't expect the coaches to put up with to much of his disregard for the teams policies. The defensive backfield's morale is low as they try to get to know each other and figure out who will be making the starting roster for the season six start.

Two preseason games are up next as the Oceania Pro League gears up for the season start on November 12th. Only two teams come in with winning streaks, the So Cal BDC and the unexpected Saipan Fighters. Who are going to be the contenders this season in the Zeta conference and who will be wanting to sell by mid season?

Stay tuned......

Breaking news out of the Saipan Fighters organization. Owner/coach comicfanman spent much of his day in meetings. The problem is they were not team meetings. It seems the wide receiver Crazy Eyes had gotten in some trouble during the off season and his probation officer had to schedule meetings for the season while he was in residing in the local half-way house. A set schedule had to be made on what time Crazy Eyes has to report to practice and when they are over. Also the current away game schedule may be affected if Crazy Eyes will not be approved for road travel. A bigger side of the problem is the Crazy Eyes is rooming with the scandalous Pacman Jones. So watch out here, Saipan may be losing a receiver for a long period.

Another meeting comicfanman had was with the agency handling child support cases. It seems newly recruited linebacker Jay Finn is addicted to sex and hates to wear protection. His salary was being set up to garnish his wages for child support for, are you ready? Nine children with 10 different women. Do the math on that one. I think there is something a little strange with this one. Two of the women must have been a lesbian couple who got drunk one night and Finn talked his way into the bedroom. Seems like Finn may have been a bad move this off season for the Fighters.

Offensive and Defensive coordinators had to hold meeting without the owner today considering the nature of his meetings. The defensive strategies have been set for the season and the coaches are feeling very confident about what their playbook contains for season six. On the other hand the offensive coordinators have been arguing about how to run the offense for season six. I hope they get things worked out before the season starts or the Fighters could continue to have problems on that side of the team.

Will Saipan put aside the recent event of troubles and pull together as a team? Or will this make season six another miserable season for the players and the coaches? I guess we will have to sit back and see what happens. Stay tuned....

Wow, you rank IC all the way down at 14 in their conference? That's pretty tough to take for a team that has never not been in the playoffs.
