How about a completely meaningless pre-season coach's poll?

Simple rules:

1) Vote if you are an owner or GM

2) Do not vote for your own team.


I'll score it 15-1 for one through fifteen picks and post the final tally in a day or two.

In keeping with the completely meaningless statement, I just looked at current rosters (which may change) competition and games from last year and made a gut pick without any in-depth analysis. I know the teams that were here better than the new-comers so they will be the ones that will more than likely surprise me.

Just for fun - If we get 15-25 gut reaction picks and average them out it will be interesting to see how close they come. I'd bet that an average of such picks would be closer than any of us might think.

These things are a bit silly anyway given how this game is played. We came into last season with 2 franchise wins and were sure bottom feeders. Our lineup changed just about every game (even after the trade deadline when we continued to pick up free agents). We finished much better than would have been expected and I am sure someone here will do the same this season.

I vote Niagara, we've made significant upgrades. We only lost 2 games since I became owner.

But, I like being #2 in the preseason, so we'll see

Should I go from two rules to one? No one seems to be following along. : )

Snakes, Assassins, Lucky and Hustlas will be tough but really the whole conf. is elevated this year and there could be dogfights all the way down to 12th place.

I am just hoping that we don't pull a schedule like Lincoln had last year. Wasn't it them that played nearly all playoff teams in the first six weeks?

yeah I think it was Lincoln that got kind of screwed.

Also, thanks a lot for the #1 curse We'll stay there for a while I believe. Tough division this year!
