Mind you, these predictions are dependent on the current roster lineup. I'm sure that some teams will become better, some worse. This is a VERY EARLY preseason prediction.
1. Unsavory Gentlemen - For those of you who know me you have come to learn that I do not cut my own team any slack in the rankings and for me to plant the UG at #1 is not to be taken lightly. The UG had competitive games with everyone in A5 except Calgary and Niagara, and a tough St. Johns team in the West, and those were not romps. This year they will have a bullseye on their heads from the start. Predicted record 15-1.
2. Chilliwack Care Bears - Was a tough choice for number 2. Three or four teams are in a position to be here. Chilliwack is my pre-season choice for now. Yeah they had a rough season 5 but I still cannot see how that roster loses. With sharper gameplanning these guys could go a long way. Prediction 14-2.
3. Alberta Irukandji - Only slightly better than Genosha but definitely a power to be reckoned with. Hangman Gallows is slowly being caught in levels but he is still a monster force in the middle . Prediction 13-3
4. Genosha X-Men - Really picked up steam last year and finally figured out you cannot win with inactive players. May have the shit talker to replace Druez and thanks to the league reforming he might have the wins to back up the pitiful rips. Prediction 13-3.
5. Prince George - Zippo should have a field day with the new secondaries of A5. Expect monstrous numbers and an improved record in season 6. Prediction 12-4.
6. Manitoba Lions - My favorite competitor in A5, these guys have shown themselves to be a class act. I honestly feel they would have made the playoffs this year without the realignment. Sorry if that sounded warm and fuzzy... Druez moms a whore. Prediction 11-5.
7. Saskatchewan Thrashers - My third favorite team in A5, these guys are up and coming and should make the playoffs this year. Expect tough losses but an overall improved record. Prediction 10-6.
8. The remaining playoff spot is really too tough to call. The North Bay Drift and Canada Dragons have proven they can play but the upper teams of A5 are very active and most gameplan very well. Expect the #8 spot to be a fight between a number of teams. Unless they make drastic changes or improve gameplanning I expect the Harbringers, Demos, panthers, and queens angels to end up in the final four slots.
Again, this is ALL based on the current roster.
