Anybody checked out lately the teams promoted from A6 in our first few seasons?

Of course, the Gamers still are in rebuilding mode, back down in A5, where they missed the playoffs at 5-11. All the others, though, made the playoffs in their current leagues.

Unfortunately, the playoffs have not been kind to our former A6 brethren. Only the Fire, top seed in AAA2 West, are still alive in the postseason, with their Round 2 game coming up tomorrow. The Wolfpack lost 50-31 in the first round of the AAA2 playoffs, as the 5th seed in the East.

All 3 former A6 teams now in AA3 survived the first round of the playoffs, but Round 2 was brutal, as all 3 teams got the boot. In the West, the 2nd-seeded Royals lost 27-13, while the 5th-seeded Hedgehogs went down 29-24. The 2 seed in the East, the Slashers, suffered the worst heartbreaker I've ever seen in GLB, falling 30-24.

I'm really surprised the Royals lost. They were my pick to win that conference.

Also surprised at least some of the rest lost. But that's what happens when the best teams play each other.

I checked out to see how they all did, but didn't check the PBP. A 64 yard TD pass with :01 to go where two defenders missed tackles? That just ain't right!

It's LLLL's fault. In a scrimmage against them this season, the Prevent D kicked in when we had a 1 point lead, LLLL had the ball, and there was just over a minute left. LLLL threw 4 straight 10-12 yd completions and kicked a FG to win.

So I changed it so Prevent only kicks in with a TD lead... so we weren't in prevent with 0:01 to go with a 1 point lead in the playoffs.

The team that beat the Royals is an excellent team with the best DE I've seen at this level yet. That LDE wrecked us in the cross-conference game and wrecked the Royals, too.

Just watching some play by play, AJ Slaughter looks unblockable for a level 35 DE going against comparablely leveled players. I'd love to see his build.

If the SF Fire make it to USA Pro that would be pretty cool. In season 2, they advanced to AA over us by scoring the go ahead TD with less than 2 minutes in the 4th.

Hey mpowell. I must say that you guys still in A6 is one of the biggest surprise to us. You guys were undefeated and an amazing team that we barely beat at the end of that game. Could have, and maybe should have, advanced that year.

I am glad that you guys have not gone the route of so many other great teams that we have played like the LV Aces and DA Gamers and others.

I hope we can hold up our end of the bargain and advance to Pro by winning another conference championship today. 6 hours to go.

I'm not sure if we just didn't take our builds in the right direction or got unlucky a few times. I think a big part of it was that a lot of other teams did a good job catching up in terms of performance. I am still hoping to get this team promoted a few times.

2 Defenders, that combined only missed 1 tackle all season

Whichever team wins the western conference, it will still be a BBB12 team that came here and moved on.

Yea. I am sure luck was involved a few time and maybe the build part.

SF Fire earned another conference championship yesterday. This time AAA2 and will be moving up to USA Pro. I hope I can represent A6 well!

Thanks man. Too bad that you guys, DVGD, and the Horde are still in A6. I remember some tough battles with those 3 teams and Richey in S2. Amazing season and great job building your team. Have to be one of the favorites again next season.
