Here are the results of the the SE Asia AA#1 All-Pro voting. The process began midseason with each owner (or a representative from that team) nominating two guys for each position, including players from his own team. At the completion of the regular season, owners had the opportunity to add new nominations from any team. Next, each owner (or representative from that team) voted for 1 QB, 1 HB, 1 FB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 2 OT, 2 G, 1 C, 2 DT, 2 DE, 3 LB, 2 CB, 1 FS, 1 SS, 1 P, 1 K, and 1 PR/KR. During this vote, the owner was NOT able to vote for players from his own team.

11 of the 14 non-CPU teams from Alpha participated in the final voting phase. Votes were tabulated and the highest vote getters were named “starters” (the # per position the same as listed above). The next highest vote getter and all ties were named as “reserves” (no reserves were named for P or K). All others that were nominated and received at least 1 vote in the final balloting were given “honorable mention”.

So, first the All-Pro Honorable mention list:

I would loooove to coach this team in a game against a team comprised of those chumps from Zeta. We've got some awesome talent in this conference. There are quite a few awesome players that didn't make this list, that's how deep Alpha goes.

Congrats to all the winners, if you made it into this post it means you were good enough for opposing owners to remember you. Well done.

That would be cool if we could actually have pro-bowl teams from the two conferences play each other.

It is a huge honor to be recognized!! I have personally benefited from outstanding team defense (The Addiction) as well as outstanding ownership and management…. Thanks again for the recognition and I would trade it all for a second to still be in the playoffs.

Jmarter and Fool, The time you spend on the season picks for all us Sim-Addicts is mind numbing, but Thanks a ton!!

I was thinking the same thing. 16 more TD's and 1,400 more yards. Not sure what else my guy could have done. Oh Well...next year.

Seriously...how can Snow realistically accept this honor knowing he's not even in the same league as Scooter in the return game.

No disrespect to you or your player Scooter Nelson, who is a fantastic return man and garnered much attention during both our nomination and selection process - but I think I can shed some light on why owners may have found David Snow the superior choice this season.

Scooter Nelson had more touchdowns and yards than David Snow, but also had more chances to earn them with 10 more kick returns and 110 more punt returns during the season. When you do the math that breaks down to Nelson bringing back 4.34% of kicks vs. Snow's 8.33% On punts, it's closer, but Snow still leads with 17.14% returned for a score against Nelson's 15.86%.

So the numbers leave it a pretty close decision. It's the old quantity vs quality conundrum. Either choice is viable, but then you start looking at other factors to help you make the decision, like name recognition. David Snow performed better in stats not really relevant to the award, but important nonetheless because opposing coaches see their names more often on the sim, when they make plays.

Scooter Nelson had 32 tackles playing as 4th and 5th CB including 1 interception this season. David Snow caught 44 passes including 8 touchdown hauls. I don't know about everybody else, but I always make a mental note about who scored on my team.

I can understand being disappointed in not getting the award after the kind of season you just had. Both your player and his team had a season that exceeded expectations and you can be proud of that fact. I hope this shed some light into how the owners might have come to their decisions.

Damn Fool, you didn't have to write all that! Hopefully nobody takes these things THAT seriously. I'd take either one. Just glad one of them's on my team
