I thought of this after GG beat us last season. Now that the Armada beat us I decided to go with it. Seems like a last ditch effort to salvage my pride but I really believe the players deserve it. Please give your opinion in the thread.

Although the goal is the championship, winning the division is harder than winning the championship, because you have to stay on point for 16 weeks. In the playoffs, any team can get lucky, or play better and knock you out. If it was like other sports where best out of a 5 or 7 game series, then the answer would be championship, but in football, winning the division is a huge challenge. You have to go undefeated and play tougher opponents too. But I'm sure the championship is every ones target.

I think the championship is harder to win and anybody can get lucky in the play offs. So +1 to you Jay.

I think it sucks for the Vols, Jay because all the time, money and work you put into being an owner, dominate for 2 full season like they have done, then lose again in the playoffs really almost breaks your will and almost kills your desire.

Porto went 27-6-1 in two seasons during the regular season, but won a total of one playoff game in those two seasons. It sucked.

It frustrated me, which is why I disbanded Porto and started from scratch. I realized how hard it is to win in the playoffs and I wanted a team where I knew right from day one that I had players I KNEW could build guys, players I KNEW would be active and knew the game.. so when we get back to winning again, we will be tough.

I've seen evidence this is working for me in that in the 4 friendlys we have played against similar slow build squads, we man handled them all.

Well teams that win Conferences and Divisions do get banners in most sports don't they???

thanks guys but I meant your opinions in the thread I put the link for in my first post. Looks like it already died down so the idea probably has no chance of happening.
