These are mine. Like 'em or not. Take 'em or leave 'em. And as I said before, good luck to everyone.

Athens v Amsterdam
Athens was the up and comer this year and aren't ready to go home. Amsterdam made a good showing to get in the playoffs, but may not have the power to match up toe to toe with the Nighthawks. AAAAAATH-EEEEENNNSSSS...You don't have to turn on the Red Lights. Time to roll back to debauchery in the distric, Amsterdam. You're going home.

CCC v Helsinki - Last week I take CCC in a close one. Helsinki rang up 500 yards against one of the best D's in the league, my Legion. Holy Passing Touchdown Fill Simms, you're too much for the Caped Crusaders. Helsinki with the win.

Smokers v Avalanche - Smokers were their usual self this season, but the Avalanche surprised a few with a great early season run. But just like the Turin team of two seasons ago, the Avalanche are simply in a rut at the wrong time. Smokers are the only ones with a landslide in this one.

Dayton v BOR - Gosh, what a change for BOR. They won some games, played some close ones, and turned some heads. Dayton found a way to get out of the middle of the Alpha pack finally and are serious contenders this season. BOR is a changed team, but not enough to take down the Hooters heros. Dayton by 10.

Turin v Stockholm - Turin finally made a serious run for the entire season and went undefeated. While several of their key wins were on last minute drives, they won't need luck to get past the Assassins. The THUNDER do the killing, and send the Assassins home in body bags.

Legion v Generals - The Legion is coming off two very disappointing losses. Dominant in years past, but inconsistent this year. Which team do you get? The one that dominated Yorktown the first time around, or the one that gave up 500 through the air to Helsinki? The Legion isn't ready to go back to Austin. Horns hook 'em.

Blackshirts v Sooners - Battle of the Big 12 here. The sooners finally circled the schooner this season, but drew a tough first round matchup. It appears after years of defensive prowess, the west coast offense is clicking on all cylinders for the Shirts. Sooners fight isn't enough to hold off Nebraska. Easy win in Lincoln.

Gangsters v Rebels - Gangsters are always winning and always dangerous. The Rebels have played well, but haven't proven they can win against against the powerhouses of the league. Without a win against anyone ranked above them, this is proving ground. They lost to the Gangsters in OT on a FG during the regular season, but history won't repeat itself and Hamburg is still a fav to win out. Gangsters win with ease.

Have fun!

Close, 13 points, and for the record, we where the 3rd seed last season too.

With Hamburg boosting all their players, I certainly wasn't expecting a rematch of our regular season matchup. Our offense had a very nice game but our defense was simply no match to them. We gave it all we had but it wasn't enough.

Good game Hamburg and best of luck to everyone still in the hunt!

Excellent game, Windsor Rebels! I decided to play you guys for more offense than in our regular season game. You guys keep up the good work! You will be a force next season if you do!

Well, I got all but the Avalanche game right. Boy, that one I didn't expect! Anyhow, here are Jason's round two predictions. As always, take them with a grain of salt because anything can happen on the field.

Athens vs. Helsinki - Well, I knew Helsinki was going to take it to CCC, but how will they fair against Athens? My Legion team beat Athens in the preseason, and got destroyed by Helsinki in the regular season. However, Helsinki was a no show against Athens in their head to head match up. I think the game comes down to a FG, as Helsinki jettisons Athens to hand the Greeks their 2nd loss of the season.

Dayton vs. Avalanche - The Avalanche definately turned some heads with a pounding of the Smokers. Dayton very well could have spent time gameplanning the Smokers, only to find tprime and the Yetis are ready to snowball their efforts. The 'lanche made a good run, but it's not quite winter time in Ohio yet, as the Avalanche's title hopes melt away. Dayton wins big.

Nebraska vs Hamburg - No upsets in Zeta as the top 4 teams continued their dominance. The Blackshirts have been seemingly unstoppable, while Hamburg continues to do work. Nebraska finds itself in a tougher than expected environment, considering it is a home game, and a late pick seals their fate as Hamburg edges them to make the conference final.

Turin vs. Legion - Turin found some more magic as they snagged a last second victory from the Legion, just as they had from Nebraska and Hamburg during the regular season. The Legion were serviceable in the first round, but nowhere near the dominant force they have been in the past. Can the Legion rally the troops to take down the powerhouse, or will the THUNDER roll? Let's just say it's clear skies, with no rain in sight as the Legion send Turin packin'.

Hook 'Em,
Jason
