Warrior General Games

This was a ridiculously difficult process, as I’d wager the talent in this A league is far superior in comparison with any of the other regions. Because it’s been around for some time, the level of experience, of both the ownership and players, is unmatched. All that translates to a mind-boggling undertaking in trying to identify the best of the best.

That said, I like a good challenge, heh. So here it is, my thoughts on the cream of the crop. Let the ranting begin...

Just to throw this out there, if I had to pick Players of the Year:

Big Diesel would win far & away as Defense POY. 100+ tackles, 33 hurries, 32 sacks and a defensive TD to boot ... that's just sick.

Jack Rigsby would win Offense POY by a slimmer margin.

Good team i reckon that team would beat all WEA pro bowl teams.

QB Shogun Smith has the highest QB rating of all starting QBs and isn't even mentioned. 41 TDs and only 2 interceptions, and that's on a team that had two HBs with over 3,500 yards a piece and a combined 134 TDs. Smith scored a TD once every 10.87 times he threw the ball, as opposed to the 12.24 and 11.05 times of your first and second team picks... and if you want to factor interceptions into the mix then those other two guys don't even come close.

This is like Jethro Tull getting the Grammy for the Heavy Metal category over Metallica.

Hence my caveat at the outset, with regard to how difficult this process was. Trust me, I looked very closely at the QBs. Shogun's stats are fantastic, true; but a good amount of his yardage came against the also-rans (505 yards against Dublin, for instance). Which is not to say the QBs listed herein didn't get the same benefit; they did, but they also put up huge numbers against the good teams.

I will concede that essentially, it came down to picking the best QBs from each league & putting one on the 1st team, the other on the 2nd. It was an oversight in not having him receive honorable mention, however. OP Edited.

And thanks - he got ignored in the first season even with 49 TFL's.....

wow i gotta ask ..what u gotta do to get recognized ...lol i know its only for fun so thats why its no biggie .. but even my LB in another league had better stats than the guy selected and didnt even get honorable mention ...

i had more tackles... than the SS selected ..102-98 ... fewer missed tackles 4-7.... MANY more Passes defensed ..30-5 ... more INTS 2-0... he had more forced and recovered fumbles than me ..8-1 in FF and 2-0 in F rec ...i had 5 TFL he had 3 ...

so we balance the tournovers ..i got 2 ints he got 2 F rec ... he forced more fumbles but i owned in rest of categories ... and i didnt even get honorable mention ...wow whats a SS gotta do lol

How does Sebastion Janikowski.20 make it onto the second team? Kenny "the toe" Pastoric should argubably be in the first choice team and certainly in the second team..........

some ppl get tore up over 1 guys opinion....
