Game of the Week
Sault Ste Marie Metalheads (even) at Mongolian Horde
Sadly, the only matchup of elite teams in the cross over games. The Horde bring their high flying receiver corps against the stout Metalheads defense. Which team will take this one most serious? The Horde have little to play for as they have the #2 seed in Alpha locked up. The Metalheads sit as the #4 Zeta seed and unlikely they will be able to move up. So with nothing but bragging rights really at stake, I have to be a homer again. The Horde summon up the intensity and make a statement going into the playoffs. That statement is: “We don’t like Zeta.” Horde by 10.
Other Games:
Ho Chi Minh Hookers (even) at SBI Waves
One of the more important games of the week. The Hookers looking for a decent playoff seed, the Waves hoping to sneak into the playoffs. The Hookers try to surf the Waves but find themselves gasping for breath as SBI fights for a playoff berth. Waves by 10.
Krungthep Garudas (+15) at Manila Envelopes
The Garudas get to seal the Envelopes and mail in an undefeated regular season. The Envelopes are just mailed in. 16 and 0 baby. Garudas by 225.
Elephant Riders (+9) at Padang Lightning
Rumor has it that Elephants are frightened by Lightning. These Riders can handle their beasts through this sad flicker of a storm. Riders by 175.
Manila Cyberballers at Singapore Flames (+6)
These Cyberballers are on a roll, knocking the Dragons out of the playoff race two weeks ago and knocking off playoff bound Salford last week. Not someone for the Singapore boys to overlook. They won’t as a little fire cools off Manila. Flames by 24.
Phuket Water Dragons (+3) at Midway Maulers
The Dragons can look back at a season that could have been something much different. The Maulers have showed spunk but that hasn’t gotten them very far. The Dragons relieve a lot of frustrations in their season ender. They Maulers are ready to say “uncle.” Dragons by 17.
Pingree Grove Pits (+3) at Vietnam Villains
Two of the more respectable “bad” teams in the league go at in this one. The Pits find their way through the rice fields and even get a little time to do some sight seeing on their trip to Vietnam. Pits by 10.
Thung Yai Tigers (+3) at Mount Fiji Dogs
The Tigers have won 3 in row and the Dogs simply do not have much bark left at this point. Chalk this one up for Zeta as the Tigers domesticate the Dogs. Tigers by 17.
