I awarded a first place vote with 10 points, 2nd with 9, and so on down the line. In the event of a tie an average of the two scores was awarded (ie. tie for 2nd results in an 8.5 for both). Eleven teams participated this week.

Would love to break the 50% (16 votes) participation at least once. I have been thinking for next season that I ask the voters to submit their top 15. I will still only submit a final top 10 each week, but my thinking is that with a top 15 there will be more representation in the "others receiving votes" category and possibly might encourage the lower half of the league to vote as they will have a chance to give their team some deserved props (towards the end of the season the top 10 become more clear but I dont think we should leave out the those who are close... I think there are 10-12 teams that you could debate are deserving of the an 11-15 ranking). My goal is to get 20+ votes on a consistent basis each week.

I remember the 1st 2 seasons when the Cans were at the bottom how frustrating it was not to see how we stacked up in the opinion polls. I personally never visited the "so and so's top 10's" because there was never any mention about our team (note: I felt we were a middle of the road team worthy of a 11-20 type ranking/honorable mention as we were able to hang with some of the top 10 teams... specifically remember hanging with the Gods in one of those first few seasons). Basically, the point is we include more teams we might get more participation/discussion. I think 15 would work just fine. Of course, I am the kind of guy who would send you my top 32.

Someone used to do them in AAA or AA and it incorperated all 32 teams. It took a little time, and may not have been by votes, but the concept kept everyone involved. There were teams trying to stay out of the #32 spot while others were glad to be there. People who moved from #18 to #13 were thrilled! It kinda gave everyone a certain level of enjoyment no matter where anyone thought they should be ranked.

Like I said, it's take a bit of time but maybe ask everyone to rank all 32 with the possibility of someone just ranking 15 or so then listing the rest as the rankings stand?

This should change some after today...

Well now that I'm kinda pissed about our loss to VKS(we actually used bonus token boosts) I'm gonna say that now you guys have a pretty good chance to beat us silly. I guess it's kinda the other way around now, we're the under dog and we have to go to the Pipeline and try to knock off the defending champs(like we were in the first couple seasons). Well I guess we just have to pull it out of the bag and show the league what we're made of
