It seems my QB fall under the Game Manager class. Though I won't be focusing on Field General and mainly on Tight Spiral. It seems I should put a few points to pump fake, since I wasn't sure if it still was useful. Thanks for the information.

Great guide thanks for the work, although I haven't spent any points on strength with my QB so I guess I have some work to do.

I'm in no hurry, it hasn't really hurt my QB. I can't consider it a primary stat the way strength appears to be functioning for a QB right now, but in time maybe. I'm at or over the soft cap in my 3 primaries of Throwing, Vision and confidence. When I rolled my QB and noticed it always wanted to place the majority of my skill points into confidence and throwing I kind of ran with it. 276 passes without a pick this season isn't too shabby(Knock on wood, the curse is probably already activated), but my guy is still young.

Great guide, excellent work!

I think "parody" may be misused...or perhaps you have an off-beat sense of humor

Also, I think you mean "complements" where you say "compliments his build."

Your meaning is still clear of course, just nit-picking ...

it all depends on build. confidence plays a huge role in a game manager build, and not so much of one in field general. I don't know how I overrated speed here.

speed should stay with kicking and punting until you soft capped throwing vision strength confidence and agility IMO but yeah, i won't touch my speed in GLB ever... ever...

I'm not convinced that the QB build is that important. How successful you are depends on the quality of your receivers. Eventually all QB builds end up similar since there are only 4 attributes to play with. This guy might have more throwing than him and that guy has more vision etc. but if you stick them on a team with crap WR's the QB will struggle. You stick him on a team with all stars and he will excel.

yeah team plays a huge role in how successful a QB is. O-line probably plays an even bigger role in my opinion. Build comes into effect when you put it into different types of good built teams.

A gunslinger will do better on teams with speed receivers and teams that pass long a lot. A game manager will still be a good QB on that team, but not as good as a gunslinger.

A pass happy team, that passing like 70% of the time that uses a balance between long medium and short passes will excel more with a field general than a gunslinger as they have a more balanced build. A gunslingers just won't complete as many short and medium passes.

A game manager will excel on teams that don't rely on passes as much, or will get the most out of a poorly built team.

From what I get, team design plays a very important role in separating the good teams from the great teams the higher level you get. Early, there isn't much difference in any offensive linemen, but at level 30 there is a big difference between pass protection builds and run blocking builds. You put a high strength long pass QB on a run blocking built o-line and your going to have some major sack problems. That's just one example, there are plenty of others.

Will you agree there is more than one way to build a QB? I know of 2 QBs in the top ten passing stats in the USA pro league that have 40+ speed and the better of the one has it soft capped. They both say speed plays a large part in their success, especially against the insane pass rushers.

okay i agree with you that there are more than 1 way to build a QB. You win there, but the fact that you need speed to throw a fricken ball haha
