I can't speak for any behind the scenes assistance to kipper, but Derek's assistance to the rest of us in the forums was pretty minimal and not terribly useful, which makes his and his teammates' periodic claims of credit for the Bears' success very annoying. There was a lot of bluster up front when Derek came over but never much follow through on the advice he had said he was going to offer. Also, a lot of the build advice that was given was nowhere near the best I've seen. Kipper is a much nicer guy than me, so I'm sure he's appreciative and will probably scold me for writing this. In my opinion, though, there have been several guys over the last three seasons who have had considerable influences on the rise of the Bears from a mediocre-to-poor team when kipper bought the team to a fairly dangerous team now, and Derek is near the bottom of that list if he's even on it.

Your team probably is the finest team in Alpha, though, just as it has been the finest team for a few seasons now. It takes a hell of a program to maintain such an elite standard without getting penalized by promotion to a higher league.

Derek is a much nicer guy than me... Im frank to the point of being blunt. There is no probably about it... we are the best team in Alpha.

We've never shied from our Playoff losses, but your record of 1 victory vs the Cows makes this thread ridiculous. And I would credit much, if not all of your financial turn around to Dereks input into how you should manage your stadium, concessions and ticket pricing. I cant remember who asked him over, but I do remember a pleading email for him to GM you guys from a Bear. Without financial security, your big players would have left and you'd be scraping into the playoffs or worse.

Show some gratitude, help given is help received. Regardless of how much of an impact you think he made, he still helped you guys when you were stuck, making this thread bullshit mate.
