I'll throw Senator Blutarsky's name in there for defensive MVP. I don't think there has been a single player more responsible for excellent team play and personally responsible for three wins this year. Seriously, the hard-hitting safety has run three interceptions back for touchdowns leading to a Lumberjacks win. His stats aren't as padded as other defensive stars, but his play on the field is every bit as important.

SS Senator Blutarsky - http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=237994

On offense, I'd like to nominate Lumberjacks QB Mister Mann who has not only put up huge numbers, but has made the big plays when they count the most!

As usual we should do this by conference, because I know the Western Conference had three or four teams that were easy 255-0 wins this season. There are many bad teams in the East too, but all but one or two of them keep the games under 100 points every time. This makes a huge difference when it comes to stats, and it's just impossible to accurately judge two QB's with similar stats when one has 500 more yards and 10 more TD passes that he picked up in a game that his team won 255-0.

For my own team I'll nominate:

QB Wyatt Parker
414 for 584 (70.9%), 5187 yards, 49 TD, 3 INT

Very easily the best statistical QB in the conference, leads all others by 1000 yards and has 3 more TD's than all. Also is the QB of the league's only undefeated team, something that would earn big points in real-life and should here too.

and for defense:

CB muscle mike
(in only 13 games in the league): 83 tackles, 5 missed, 59 PD, 9 INT, 5 INT TD, 2 FF, 1 FR, 1 FR TD

Leads the league in interceptions, passes defended, and most importantly: TD's. He had six defensive scores this season, no other player in the Eastern Conference had more than 2.

Ogopogo's QB Darian Durant has been lights out this season and deserves the #1 QB spot in the voting if not the Offensive MVP.

QB Darian Durant: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=473030

He split time with another QB almost 50/50 and still put up conference leading numbers. Take a look at some of the other top QB's and you'll see how impressive DD has been.

Darian Durant (38.9 plays/game) - 126.3 Passer Rating, 3412 yards, 55 TD
Mister Mann (76.1 plays/game) - 114.5 Passer Rating, 4905 yards, 53 TD
Leonard Carmody (62.1 plays/game) - 143.2 Passer Rating, 4637 yards, 61 TD
Deadeye McCannon (39.4 plays/game) - 129.8 Passer Rating, 2819 yards, 43 TD
Jack Oneil (72.5 plays/game) - 95.2 Passer Rating, 4350 yards, 29 TD

If DD had twice as many plays/game (77), or as many plays/game as Mister Mann he would have 6,824 yards, 110 TD's!!!!!!! That's Offensive MVP worthy in my book.

I also think it goes without saying that Primetime Speedster is the #1 WR in the League.
PT: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=425754

#1 Yards - 1831.5
#1 TD's - 26
#1 Receptions - 105 (Excluding bogus Test TE)
#3 Avg/Catch - 17.4 (players with more than 50 Rec)
#7 Avg/YAC - 7.7 (players with more than 47 Rec)

Top 5 Games:
1. Week 8 v. Laval. 3 TD's including the game winner with 10 seconds left.
http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=166919

2. Week 11 v. Memphis. 10 Catches 141 yards 1 TD in a pivotal win.
http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=166937

3. Week 6 v. Kodiaks. 123 yards, 2 TD to put away Kodiaks in early season showdown.
http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=166845

4. Week 12 v. Gaffney. 12 Catches and 111 yards in a key matchup.
http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=166948

5. Week 5 v. Listowel. 9 Catches for 142.5 yards and 1 TD in only loss of the season.
http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=166950

Defensive MVP belong to one individual and one individual only, and he is a large "Angry Blackman"

#1 Sacks - 50 (14 better than the next best)
96 Tackles
3 FFum
2 PD's

Take a look at the Westwood game for evidence of his prowess.
v. Westwood (Ogopogo W, 24-21) - 9 Tkls, 8 Sacks, 4 Hrys and Player of the Game honors.

RB - Matt Melton - http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=46680 - imo the best rb in the league. Has performed vs good teams. he wont finish first in the rushing yards due to Hamilton is just gonna whore Lukas Omelanczuk in their last game. Just padding stats.

Vs Quebec - Matt Melton ; 12 rushes ,78.5 yards ,6.5 ypc - Lukas Omelanczuk ; 24 attempts 54.5 yards 2.3 ypc

vs. hustlas - Matt Melton ; 20 rushes ,122 yards ,6.1 ypc , 2td - Lukas Omelanczuk ; 24 Rush, 72.5yds , 3 ypc

the point im making here is that lukas is only good vs bad teams where as matt is good vs everyone

i would definetly nominate senator blutarsky as a possible Defensive MVP...

...but in fairness i'd give it to Angry Blackman.

(but i can't resist putting in some of my highlight reel...sorry:

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=166849&pbp_id=6154887

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=166849&pbp_id=6155746

i think that's one of the games that CWalk said i won for us...but really, Laval has a good balance on D and no one guy is the sole reason for it's success )

As for the Offensive MVP, i hae to nominate Mr.Mann. He's leading in yardage and is the biggest reason why Laval puts points on the board.

Interesting thread...how about a first and second team all-star thread?

now that the season had ended..
look at the qb stat

mister mann is 2nd in total yds passing (only 19 yds away from 1st..)
tied for 1st in total tds thrown with 61 TDs

well u mite say he isnt technically number 1 in anything..
Wyatt Parker is number 1 for total yds passing.
however mister mann was hurried for 52(FIFTY-TWO) times and sacked 27 times! Wyatt Parker was hurried only 20 times and sacked only 11 times. Same goes for Leonard Carmody who is tied for number 1 for total tds thrown. he was hurried only 16 times and sacked only 5 times.

*EDIT* More stats :
Mister Mann conneted with 10 different receivers and 9 of them with atleast 30 catches. shows that mister mann dont need a dominant receiver to make something happen. the number 1 wr had 83 catches.
Darian Durant had Primetime Speedster who is a dominant wr in the entire league
Wyatt Parker 9 diiferent receivers with 7 of them with atleast 30 catches. a-dub armstrong with 98 catches.
Leonard Carmody 9 differnt receivers with 5 of them with atleast 30 catches.

this shows that mister mann is a qb who can play under pressure AND can make things happen even with no dominant receivers and without an amazing o-lines who allows no one thru to touch the qb.

I think you need to give some consideration at DT for Ferret Maze of Niagara.

81 Tackles at DT, 1 missed tackle, 28 hurries, 14 sacks, 30 TFL, 2 PD's, 1 INT, 1 INT TD, 3 FF, and 1 Fumble Rec.

Also, not the BEST QB stat wise, but 3rd in the Eastern conference in yards, Sakuragi Hanamichi and over 100 QB rating....our TEAM MVP, spread the ball around with 4 total receivers with over 500 yards, including 2 over 850ish, and 1 over 1,000. Most importantly came through late in the season.

And for the 2nd year in a row I nominate Chimpmunk Maze at FB, 40 pancakes, 4.9 yards per carry (all short yardage carries) with over 400 yard rushing. Not as many TD's as last season, but IMO by far the best FB in our conference.

Great Season guys.

I do agree Muscle Mike and Drew Bush are the top performers at their positions.

I think the best and least confusing way to do this is the way I've seen it done elsewhere. Each team has an owner or gm vote for a full team of allstars from any team but their own and when the votes are counted up the guys with the most votes are allstars and there will probably be a guy or two who gets votes from everyone (except his own team) and that will be the MVP. Tie breaker vote as needed.

I like it, 1 owner AND 1 GM, or 1 or other?

One vote from each team for enough guys to make up a full team O and D. First place is first team, second place is second team. Tie breakers as needed and the guy with the most votes is MVP... again.. tiebreaker as needed.
