Hopefully this will result in some much-needed discussion about Alpha Conference.

THE CREAM OF THE CROP

1) Stuttgart Blitzkrieg 13-0
2) Newport Tsunami 11-2
3) Tinkerbell Got Balls 12-1
4) Helsinki Devils 11-2

So far nobody has stepped up and made The Krieg sweat and they are the undisputed No. 1 seed in Alpha. But anything can happen in the playoffs as we've all seen. The Tsunami and T-Balls are a toss-up for the No. 2 ranking IMHO. I ranked Newport ahead of Tinkerbell because T-Balls hasn't played the No. 3 or 4 teams in the standings yet. Plus I just get the gut feeling the Newport will beat them, but it should be a great game. Helsinki "brings up the rear" but IMO there is a gap between them and the No. 5 through 7 teams.

THE NOT QUITE READY FOR PRIME-TIME PLAYERS

5) Warsaw Stampede 9-4
6) Liverpool Outlaws 9-4
7) Transylvania Grim Reapers 10-3

These teams will make the playoffs but are probably a year away from making some real noise.

BATTLING FOR CASH AND A QUICK EXIT FROM THE PLAYOFFS

8) Sioux City Bandits 5-8
9) Warsaw Gods of War 6-7

One of these two teams will snatch the final playoff spot in Alpha, but does anyone really believe they can beat mighty Stuttgart? (I hope I don't have to eat my words!)

NOT THERE YET

10) Stalingrad Ironmen 4-9
11) Kuriya Kalashnikovs 4-9
12) Saratov Blaze 4-9

These teams have some work ahead of them before they can compete for a playoff spot.

NOT SO MUCH

13) P-Burg Players 1-12
14) Aalborg Smurfin' Smurfs 1-12
15) Vilnius Velociraptors 0-13

These teams definitely have a ways to go, but at least they're trying.

GUTTED

16) Mont-Laurier Nordiques 4-9

Sure, their record is better than the teams ranked ahead of them but this team was gutted and the majority of their players are CPU. Sorry, but if you're gutted...you're last.

I feel like we keep getting underestimated. I'm not really one to make noise, but I just want to throw it out there; we have a habit of hurting anybody ranked higher then us in the playoffs.

Yeah, you guys beat us last year as a matter of fact! Bastards. Believe me, I REALLY considered ranking you guys higher because of this fact ONLY.

Trust me I do not underestimate you at all......I hate the ending of my schedule....Atleast I have looking toward moving into the playoffs with a win

You've not beaten a good team all year and you might not make the playoffs.

If the top eight teams go to the playoffs, then I think we will, wont we? I mean, if we lose the next three games, and Gods of War win the next three games, we'd be tied, and since we beat them in the regular season, we have the first tie breaker, correct? Or what is the tie breaker?

I just think you needed to beat somebody. Your going to get your chance now though against Newport and Warsaw. But you got fked in your interleague game like we did and drew a tough matchup. Everything is right in front of you against the teams you'll be facing in the playoffs. I think you're in but your work is cut out for you

I'm okay with tough matchups, I really like going against equal or better teams. It'll be tight for sure, but I think it'll be interesting at least.

In reference to Tinkerbell Got Balls...let's look at the facts:

(1.) Although we haven't played the other 3 and 4 teams in the standings...we played the best team and while not coming close to a win we kept it a game...more than anyone else in the conference did.

(2.) We may not have played the 3 and 4 teams in our conference, but we advanced to the championship game of our bracket, beating the Crimea Sea Dragons twice and going 1 and 1 with the AZ Knights.

(3.) Our record in scrimmages should be evidence enough. Each team we scrimmaged was in the top three in their conference and we have a winning record in our scrimmages.

Yeah, you're definitely very good. I just think Newport is better right now. Can't give you a reason why...just a gut feeling. But you two will get a chance to settle it on the field so it doesn't really matter. Best of luck.
