Bort has actually seen a earlier version of this idea and stated that something similiar was in the works. I would like to get more ideas and opinions on how to shape these ideas into something that the admins can use.

I know you put a lot of work into this and it would help out some people who have non-winning teams, but it'll only be teams who don't win.
So these kinds of upgrades would need to do something to make up for the lost money or losing teams are just going to fall further behind winning ones.
And winning teams still have nothing to spend money on after a few seasons.

I understand the view that teams without money right now would not be able to afford some of these. However being a owner of my own team that couldn't afford these, having these upgrades out there would encourage me to become a better owner and increase my cash flow so I could purchase them.
As for teams that would be able to afford these right now, maybe there could also be a "Luxury Tax" of some sort that would require the teams that could afford them to pay more to keep them. Something that would be added onto the Maintenance Contracts that are currently proposed in this idea.
My whole point by suggesting this is to continue to improve the game with more options instead of only having the basic stadium to upgrade to full capacity.

There's gotta be a way to find a 'common interest' here for teams, regardless of financial stability.
Heck, even an option for teams to choose and build only "BLANK #" of these items, each with its own benefit, to allow some diversification b/w stadiums and some personal team customization.
And how bout the option to build a new stadium down the road? The whole bigger/better (increased capacity, etc.). Who knows.
But the basic point remains the same: Stadium/Financial management is a huge part of this game, and speaking as an owner, I look forward to this more than many other aspects of the game! It's going to be a very sad day when I have nothing left to aim for in the area. We must find a way to keep this exciting and interesting for GMs/Owners.

Hey Moebuis, just wondering if you looked at my "Home Field Advantage" idea that I posted in your other thread.

Could you repost it here. I had a mod delete that thread so I could take time to improve the idea.

+1 There has to be a fair way to include some of the features proposed in the game without hurting losing teams. Although, it has to be said that i have seen a bunch of teams that donīt even care to expand their stadium, so itīd really depend on the ownerīs will to do something.

bump, even if this exact idea isn't used, it brings alot to the table and should be considered by Bort and Co in some way/shape/form

While I think it is an idea worth exploring, I also feel that it will also create an even greater imbalance between the rich teams and the teams that are poor/got gutted by a previous owner, etc. The rich will just get richer here and the poor can not really afford those improvements to better their situation...
I agree with this statement, but conversly I also really like the OP, so how do you fix the problem I've quoted?(other than revenue sharing which I'm all for but most people hate) that's the last thing that needs to be ironed out to make this the best suggestion I've seen in months

I like these ideas, and I think they should be expensive.
If ticket price was properly weighted league to league, teams would have higher motivation to get promoted and buy these goodies.
