Starting with the most dominant conference in A3 history, here are the predictions of the west. We've got some great matchups all around, with many potential upsets.
Omaha v. BYB: Omaha has had the Backdoor Boys' number the only 2 meetings between the teams. Who will step it up? Like I stated before, Omaha is in danger of missing the playoffs for the first time. With a revamped defense, I look for Omaha to pull it out, making the all-time record between the two 3-0
Rocky v. Angels: This will be a nice stat game for the Rocky's, and also keep them alive in the shot for homefield advantage in round 1.
Panthers v. Pirates: See above. LOL
Ags v. RR: The Red Raiders are also in danger of missing the playoffs, so this will be a good game to get them back on track.
Psychos v. More: Buck's really got this team turned around this season after the last couple have been rather disappointing. The Psychos have been the upset team for the last couple of seasons, but won't get it here. Sorry Psychos
Compton v. Mojave: A matchup of two gutted teams who have no chance of staying in this league. I'm going to go out on a limb and call Mojave the victor in this one.
Austin v. Gotham: This will be another great matchup between two of the top teams in the conference. I see this being a defensive battle with Austin pulling it out.
MN v. Vegas: As if the Skulls really need another stat game. They have by far blown away all of their competition and have taken pretty much any record statistically that has ever been here. Saionara (sp?) Skulls! Get the fuck out of here! I mean that in a good way!
Now onto the East. We really only have one tough matchup and it should be a great one. We'll get to that in a few.
El Paso v. Slayers: Slayers started off tough, but have been pretty irrelevant, losing games they should win. Typical season for them. El Paso has had a pretty damn good season, and I look for them to come in with momentum and win a close one.
Brew v. DC: Ezo has to be pissed about the losses endured this season. For those who have been here a while, the Crew were the sure favorites of the East. I look for them to destroy the Crew
Tri v. Shelby: Tricity should handle this one fairly easily
4C's v. Turin: A great stat game for the Chocolate Highway
Kansas v. Raiders: The tale of two losers. Both teams really don't belong up here, so this will be a tough one to call. I'm going to go out on a limb and call Kansas the winner here
Rebels v. Chitown: Luckily, the Rebels will be playing a cpu owned team. Will that really help them? I should certainly hope so.
Dayton v. NY: This should be a pretty good matchup as well. Dayton has been very quiet on the boards, and with the season they are having compared to last, I would say they're spending less time calling people douchebags, and focusing on the al. Dayton pulls this one off.
Now, onto our main event in the East. Standing in the Blue corner, wearing blue and white speedos, oh wait, they are painted on, NC Nudists. In the standing in the Green corner, wearing Pink Floyd shirts and holding 3 foot bongs, the Cincinatti Stoners! The Stoners think they have one helluva game plan in effect. Unlike their sober counterparts before them, the Cinci players have made sure that they took enough bong hits to color their eyes a silly red, hoping the lude acts recently committed by NC wouldn't phase them. The first half, I look for this to be a close game, as both teams try to feel the other out.The second half will be a much different story. KT and his ghetto ass ways sold the rest of the stash, leaving the Stoners susceptible to the cockslap without the red vision. NC comes out swingin, taking the Stoners completely out of their game. Robjay walks up to wish his opponents luck in the playoffs, when out of nowhere, Keith_dude jumps over his shoulder and gives Toric the cockslap he's been craving!
Happy reading to all, and good luck to all in your games! I'm sure the flames will begin in.... 3......2.......1.....
