Game of the Week
Bangkok Blue Demons (even) at Sault Ste Marie Metalheads
Metalheads are coming off a 27-9 loss to the top ranked Elephant Riders, ending a 9 game winning streak. Their only other loss was an opening night setback to the Rush, 28-10. The Blue Demons two losses are to the same teams, Riders (42-17) and Rush (36-9). The loser of this one can more than likely kiss a home playoff game goodbye. The numbers point towards a slight edge for the Metalheads, but the Demons need this one more with tough games still left with the Toys and the Flames. This will be a true battle of evil vs. evil. Conspiracy theorists come out of the woodwork as the Demons boost themselves to a win. Demons by 6.
Sadly, this looks to be the only game this week. I have set the over/under at 125 on all remaining games. Who is most likely to beat the spread?
Other ‘Games’
Kapres Pride at The Elephant Riders (+12)
Pride is flying high in Kapres as they are coming off their first win, the Riders are coming off their 11th. The chances of the Pride getting their 2nd? Well, there ain’t any blue moons in the forecast. Riders by 125.
San Fran Gold Rush (+3) at Thung Yai Tigers
The losing streak is officially over for the Rush. The Tigers one game winning streak is about to be officially over. Gold rush, Silver rush, Platinum rush. It doesn’t matter this week as San Fran finds whatever gem they want. Rush by 125.
Midway Maulers at Singapore Flames (+6)
The Demons mauled the Maulers last week. The Rush have mauled the Maulers. The Metalheads have mauled the Maulers. The Riders have mauled the Maulers. And the Waves have mauled the Maulers. Did I forget anyone? Oh yeah, the Flames maul the Maulers. Flames by 125.
Vietnam Villains at Thailand Cheap Toys (+15)
Still trying to separate themselves from “token-gate”, the Toys try to divert the attention back to the economy by promising a Vietnam bailout. Toys by 125.
SBI Waves (+12) at Da Nang Yellow Jackets
If you can’t beat the Pride, who can you beat? Short answer – perhaps some teams next season in SE Asia A. Waves by 125.
Manila Envelopes at Garut Fire Horses (+12)
Didn’t the Horses get the memo about using their bonus tokens against the Rush.
, surely won’t need them to lick these Envelopes. Horses by 125.
Kyoto Samurai at The Pretenders (+3)
The Samurai might actually put a fight in this one, but I have to stick with the 125 point margin. So let’s pretend the Pretenders by 125.
