The season is winding down and while the battle for the top spot appears to be going in order the bottom is not so fortunate or so boring depending on your point of view.

In a Class of their own

1. New Jersey Crocodiles(10-0)
Get to play my Wolves and the very physical Bocs in consecutive weeks it's certainly the last quality competition until they play the Admirals week 16 for the right to call themselves the only undefeated team in A5. Impressive group expect them to keep rolling.
Upcoming: Wolves, Bocs, Athens
Projected: 13-0

2. Roman Legion(9-1)
Almost met the spread I gave against Athens, what happened? Why not 1 more touchdown oh well 194-0 aint to shappy and should the Crocs slip and then slip again week 16 these guys still have a shot at being #1 and suddenly making the eight seed very very happy. For now they get to put a beatdown on potential eight seeds in the coming weeks.
Up Next: Chuck Norris, Bulls, Vikings
Projected Record: 12-1

The next four

3. Walterfootball.com Draftniks(8-2)
Road five first half interceptions in route to a 52-31 thrashing of the Wolves. Firmly entrenched as the #3 seed with their only option for moving up being a three way tie with the Legion and Crocs - don't count on it happening pencil them in here against whoever end up the #6 seed.
Who's Next: Bocs, Minotaurs, Chuck
Projected: 11-2

4. Hollywood Knights(6-3)
Did what most teams do to the Sidewinders utterly tearing them apart to the tune of 97-0. Their biggest games are still the final games of the season for now they have the good but not great Pirates and then some celler dwellers in the meantime. They should match out for the Pirates though an unanticipated loss here and it could be good night sweetheart for any hope of a homefield payday.
Who's next: Pirates, C-Knights, Tigers
PROJECTED RECORD: 9-3

5. Warsaw Wolves(8-2)
Wow that left a mark, five interceptions - yikes!. Will need a much better effort to be competative against the Crocs and still need to keep their eye on the upcoming Manlets game which could start a downward spiral if they are not careful.
Who's Next: Crocs, Manlets, Sidewinders
Projected Record: 10-3

In the post-season just not upward

6. Misc Manlets(6-4)
Can relax a bit before playing a meaningful game but appear locked into the 6th spot as they appear ready to rack up wins after a difficult early season schedule left them looking like a middle of the pack club. Still a dangerous team and certainly someone you would prefer not to draw in round 1 if you had your druthers.
Who's Next: Tigers, Wolves, Bocs
Projected: 8-5

Fighting for their post-season lives:

7. Chuck Norris(7-3)
Chuck jumps to seven and appears to be picking up steam as the post-season light is appearing at the end of the tunnel still a rough schedule ahead and they could fall rapidly but may still be "the best of the rest" and may get pounded down despite their impressive start.
Next Three: Legion, Mamertini, Draftniks
PROJECTED RECORD: 8-4

8. Hague Pirates(5-5)
Hague edges the Bulls and now have to be seen as a serious contender for a playoff spot. All the teams down on this level have rough schedules left but Hague's appears to be among the easier ones left still it'll be a tough road to hoe.
Up Next: Hollywood, Vikings, C-Knights
Projected: 7-6

9. Vienne Vikings(5-5)
Got beat up pretty bad by Chuck 24-7 but its also pretty apparent that a sub .500 team is gonna dance their way into the post season in Zeta. Gonna be a rough couple of games for the them they must win against the Bulls and Pirates to have a chance. If they don't win this week the wheels come off the bus for these guys.
Who's Next: Bulls, Pirates, Legion
Projected: 5-8

10. Iberian Bocs (6-4)
Still major offensive issues and could struggle alot the rest of the way the schedule is viscous and unless they pull a major upset or two they will end up watching some scrimmage games the rest of the way.
Next up: Draftniks, Crocs, Manlets
EXPECTED RECORD: 6-7

11. Pamplona Bulls(4-6)
Probably have cost themeselves a playoff spot with a pair of one point losses - it's looking like wait till next year for a team that put up a decent fight early but has faded here of late.
Next Three: Vikings, Legion, Mamertini
PROJECTED RECORD: 6-7

NOTE ON THE PREDICTIONS I DO NOT USE THE LEAGUE PROJECTOR, so this is my prediction purely on observation - leaves it more open to being interesting anyway.

GAME OF THE WEEK: Hollywood vs. Hague
While Hollywood "should" take this one I expect Hague to keep it close and consume alot of clock especially early. Still Hollywood's big play passing game won't be kept down forever and Hague won't have enough fire power to counter.
Hollywood 34 Hague 17

Big Game: Palermo Bulls vs. Vienne Vikings
Vienne desperatly needs this game and thats a problem the Bulls are one of the teams I dont think they match-up great against. The Bulls season is probably over but I see them spoiling the Vikings season as well and stealing a victory here. Unless of course they do something crazy in their late game planning.
Vikings 27 Bulls 30

Must See TV: New Jersey Crocodiles vs. Warsaw Wolves
Crocs are rolling, Wolves are re-organizing. We look to continue to improve in Warsaw but it's hard to improve against the #1 team in the league. Gonna be a rough outing but as our chemistry re-rises so will our play. This could be a preview of playoff week 2 so don't expect my Wolves to show too much either.
Crocs 40 Wolves 24

The Late game: Roman Legion vs. Chuck Norris
Playoff preview here as well as Chuck looks to improve against the Legion but in all honesty doesnt stand much of a chance, still a good chance to take a look at your opponent and figure out how to pull the "upset" in round 1.
Legion 76 Chuck 24

Not all stat padders but I dont have all day
Draftniks 34 Bocs 7
Sidewinders 13 Constantinople 24
Mamertini 94 Athens 14
Malets 79 Tigers 13

Great write up, although I think Hollywood will have more to contend with in Hague than they initially expect.

I like your confidence, Although in this case I believe it is misplaced, best of luck to you, enjoy being 5-6

It isn't so easy to score over 200 points but we nearly did it. For the next game, I doubt about two things, first that we will score over 70; second that we will allow over 20 points.

So six games left until the "real show" comes up.

The Pirates will need to put up at least 28 to beat the Knights.

Do that and we'll talk. Tell your CB's to rest up this week, they'll need it.

For obvious reasons nothing would make me happier than a Pirate ransacking and upset of Hollywood , well nothing except for us removing perfection from after the Crocs record.

Well after the beatup i am still satisfied with my team. We did not even really believe that we will be able to reach my goal. The goal was to get near .50, so we are doing fine actually.

I'll cover all the teams in pre-season, and with two to three teams per conference getting promoted out (my current count based on gut jobs/cpu teams) I'd say lots of new playoff teams. Just time wise I can't really cover the guys building at the bottom.
