To be updated one team at a time.

1 Cybertron War Machine 9-0-0
http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=2815
Well in preseason I expressed that I thought CWM was a top two team in this conference. I was honestly projecting for the playoffs. I never envisioned the regular season success. This team has surpassed my expectations so far. The Work has been an overall team effort. The passing has been lead by the incredible duo of Optimus Prime and Megatron. They have combined to make CWM the second most prolific passing offense in the Lion conference. They have incredible targets. Blackout, Mirage, Sixshot and Ramjet are a dangerous group, but they are lead by the amazing Cliffjumper. CJ is easily the best WR in AA#3. Despite having four less games than the rest of the WR in Lion, he currently leads in yards and TDs. His stats have been just plain sick. The HBs have done some solid work. Jazz and Soundwave have excelled in short yardage situations. The defense is super aggressive and opportunistic. The most impressive stat is that they have allowed negative yds rushing on the season(-94.5) This leadds to teams attempting to air it out on them. This is a dangerous proposition and typically leads to Ints for TD or sacks. This team is well rounded and poised to really turn it on in the post season. CWM has more than proven the naysayers that objected to my lofty ranking in the preseason wrong.

2 Lima Cheetahs 8-1-0

Lima has had an incredible first half. Only loss to undefeated CWM. They have an incredible defense that has done what it wishes to all comers for the most part. They have only allowed 10ppg this season. That number gets even sicker if you could subtract the 49 allowed to CWM. I think the defensive dominance begins with Burger and Page up front, but a strong set of LBs and CBs make this a three leveled defense to fear. Deion (Chainlock) Lott has 7 Ints and 3 for TD. Pick your poison run and go no where. Pass it and risk a game changing INT. The offense IMO is very reliable. It is a little more run oriented, but overall pretty balanced. Bavid Deckem has 30 TD so far.

2b Burundi Bone Strippers 8-1-0
http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=2824
Lone loss at the hands of SSS. No shame in that. These guys are good, they can beat any team in Lion and Have a huge game coming to guage themselves by against CWM, as well as the toughest remaining schedule of all the contenders. Honestly I have my doubts about the overall strength of the team as they have faced pretty limp competition so far. The running game is 7th, pass game 9th, the points scored are a little low for the teams faced at theis point. However the defensive points per game ar low at 9 a game. if this avg continues this team will be a force. I like the team, but I need to see more against quality opponents. Right now they are 2b based on record alone. The measure of this team is ahead of them. Show me, I am from Missouri, not really from Missouri, but the saying fits.

4 Sahara Sand Storm 7-2-0
http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=2818
This seasons Jeckle and Hyde team. I had them pretty high in the preseason rankings, however, how can you be an elite team and lose to the Warthogs? While the Warthogs are a good team, a top four team should handle them with relative ease. I think this team is very capable, but maybe the distractions took away from the game planning. SSS relies on a powerful run game and stingy defense to carry them to victory. While the run game is tops for yards in Lion, I think they need some balance to really shine as a top team. They have a very key game against Durban DesertHawks this week that will let us know who they are, a playoff team or a contender. Right now, I have them as contenders.

5 Tanzania Lumberjacks 6-3-0
http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=2813
I have Tanzania ranked ahead of Durban to whom they lost. Typically, I give the nod to the team that won the head to head. This is a special case. The game was super tight and could have gone to either team. I consider the Lumberjacks to have a greater upside. The Jacks have arguably the best offense in Lion. Second in both run and pass offense they also put a good number of points on the board. They lead the conference with 103 total TDs that's 7 ahead of CWM who is second. These guys are also 6th in the conference in ppg allowed at 15.3. I believe the Jacks will continue to figure out their upgraded team as they go this season and should be downright scary to face in the playoffs.

6 Durban DesertHawks 6-3-0
http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=2823
Durban is very competent as a team. They have come out pretty favorable in one of the tougher schedules so far. Even in a couple of losses they have showed out pretty well. SSS is the biggest game remaining.

There are three teams that are 5-4 and all have pretty tough games coming up. Also don't sleep on the Ballers. If they get a good streak together, they will also be fighting for the 8th spot.

7a Casablanca Bogart's 5-4-0
7b Nairobi Warthogs 5-4-0
7c G-Vegas Pirates 5-4-0

Well, a lot can happen between now and then. I am not counting my volkswagons before they get off the assembly line. However, if it were to happen, I too would be pretty excited.

Thank you for the kind words and we're definitely looking forward to the strippers game, backed-up by the storm game. The Jacks have a real chance to test our metal against good teams here soon.

I think our ranking is a little low seeing as how we have only lost to the number 1, 2, and 3 team in your ranking...and we had a good chance to win 2 of them, losing by only 4 points to each and an average of about 8 points in our 3 total losses. Our game tonight against Sahara will be a big one.

Plus, we also beat the team ranked ahead of us and your reasoning behind it is flawed. You mention how solid their defense is...and I will admit, they are good and held our offense to a low scoring affair once again (we have great matchups). But, we have one of the 2 best defenses in the league for the 2nd year in a row after only allowing 3 touchdowns (tied for first with Burundi, and Tanzania has given up more than 3x that amount) all season and the 2nd least total yards allowed behind Burundi. We are giving up 8.7 points a game. That is probably with the hardest schedule after 9 games as well. Agreed?

I guess I can't just see your logic from giving the nod to a team we beat besides, once again, simply looking at the average levels of a team and that Tanzania has recently bumped up in their "Overall" rating. Nothing against them or any other team at all- just wanted to state our case as a team. We haven't been able to win 2 of our very close games and that is mainly an offensive struggle we are trying to overcome, but overall I think we are better than #6 in the league and our defensive is 2nd to none.

If that is the rankings, then it is a VERY VERY tight 1 thru 6 with no team standing out among the bunch at this point. That is all.

Very tight indeed. I like them so far. These are just the mid season and there are some good games to come. the SSS game will be big for DDH, then if they are a top 4 team they should clean house the rest of the way.

When comparing DDH and the Jacks the one thing I have asked myself is which team would I rather have as a coach, and I would choose the Jacks. The teams are very tight however.
