Bangkok Blue Demons 8-1 (even) at The Elephant Riders 9-0

#1 vs. #4 in the latest poll. The Riders first test since a Week 4 win over the Flames. They have the Metalheads next week and the Rush still ahead. Similar story for the Blue Demons. A Week 5 loss to the Rush already on their resume, they need this one. Both owners refused comment regarding the big game, refusing to provide bulletin board material for this huge matchup. I see the Pachyderm Jockeys hitting their first bump in the road this week as the Demons create a scramble at the top of the rankings. Demons by 3.

San Fran Gold Rush 8-1 (even) at Thailand Cheap Toys 7-2

The Rush got knocked off their high horse last week by the Flames, now they must deal with the Toys. The angry Rush treat the Toy’s like they belong in the waiting room of the doctor’s office. Rush by 21.

Sault Ste Marie Metalheads 8-1 (+12) at Da Nang Yellow Jackets 0-9

The Metalheads get to sit and watch the other heavyweights battle each other this week as they proclaim, “We beat the Flames.” Yellow Jackets return to their hive with their stingers between their legs. Metalheads by 225.

Manila Envelopes 1-8 at Singapore Flames (+21) 7-2

The Flames are soaring high this week with their win over the Rush. They burn the Envelopes without needing much spark. Flames by 175.

SBI Waves 4-5 (+3) at Thung Yai Tigers 2-7

Time for the Waves to make some ripples if they want the playoffs. The Kittens, formerly known as the Tigers, are a nice first step. Waves by 28.

Kyoto Samurai 4-5 at Garut Fire Horses (+6) 4-5

The Horses begin their gallop into the playoff race by stomping on the Samurai. Fire Horses by 21.

Kapres Pride 0-9 at The Pretenders 4-5 (+9)

The Kapres Pride has a ticket to A in their pocket, the Pretenders remain in the playoff hunt for another week. Pretenders by 45.

Vietnam Villains 3-6 at Midway Maulers 3-6 (+6)

The Villians are not so nasty this week as they get mugged by the Maulers. Maulers by 14.

With Riders and Demons still to play, SSM will be tuning in to the game of the week.

2)S.F. gold rush (8-2) -- ....................................defense played strong vs bali but the lack of offense was disappointing
3)hong kong highlanders (8-2) +2 ...............................the big boys are carring alot of momentum that should continue to the rush game
4)hong kong hustlers (8-2) -1 ................................need to find a way to solve their offensive struggles
5)sault ste marie metalheads (7-3) +1 .........................the easy ones are over must find a way to slug it out the rest of the way
6)bali waves (8-2) -1 ........................................now starting to see why everyone kept mentioning their early narrow victories
7)naron panthers (6-4)-- ..................................are they ready to step up the next 2 games if not its bubble time

9)malang squad (5-5) -1....................................they made this bed now they have to lie in it to get in must show up with the big boys

13)phnom penh phenom (3-7) -1 ......................loss vs metalhead plunges this team back to the cellar pack
14)the elephant riders (3-7) -- .......................defense has been stellar all year need the offense to at least show up

16)ny rage (0-10) -- ................................still making that long climb from pretender to contender

It's a shame they won't be able to do it in the playoffs.

if they can beat teams like the rush they might have a chance , you never know
