I have way less experience than both of you but IMO I think Blocking. It appears to be your best skill. If he is as speedy and agile as you say I am not sure that improving those skills by 5 pts will make your player any better than the competition.

Definitely speed. If you can just shift and engage him for two extra hits before he runs by you, that will either allow the guard to come over and help or the QB to get rid of the ball.

Something like this:

I hate to disagree but it`s definitely agility in my books. Agility is what`ll get your OT to make those very quick small adjustments to stay in the DE`s way.

Agility without speed isn't going to work against a DE with 80+ speed.

Same game, same players:

Olav's been working on his speed all season. It was boosted into the low 40's for that game, and he still needed more. He has 50+ agility already.

Boost Stamina, you may lose a battle, but you'll win the war.

Olav looks like he got beat by poor blocking or low strength, not speed agility.

agility. you're not racing the guy. it's one step. speed only comes into play once he's past you.

You both are wrong. He has blocking and strength over 70 and agility over 50. The pass blocking SAs are there too. What you say makes sense in the real world, but in GLB, it seems, you need both agility and speed to stay with the best speed rushers. They're tied together in short bursts even, and you can't move quickly enough, otherwise.

The other possibility, I suppose, is that Olav doesn't need speed that badly, but instead should have agility over 60 as well. Has anyone who has faced pure speed rushers had success with low speed and double capped agility?

In my experience though, with everything else being equal and in increasing only speed, I have found I have gotten much better at warding off our league's best pass rushers. This guy for example, who has racked up 38 sacks on tackles who think that strength, blocking and agility are enough, got only two off me. If I'd had my speed up to fifty, it probably would have been zero.

I'm hoping to try that, but it will take me some time.

I've got a level 26 OT with only 20 speed but high agility. Haven't given up a sack in 2 seasons. Couldn't tell you what the speed stats were of the guys I was blocking, and I admit I was primarily a right tackle.

On the play in question, looked to me like the QB was responsible for the sack. He had a WR wide open at the 50 and a TE abusing a LB in single coverage. I realize the simulations may not be totally accurate, but that sack looked like it was on the QB to me.
