Average Ranking of Passing offense, Rushing Offense, Scoring offense, Passing Defense, Rushing Defense and Scoring Defense.
Top Five:
1 Heat 2.83 - The Heat are one of just two teams now to rank top ten in every relevant statistical categoy. They are also top two in both overall offense and overall defense. The 'Nites and Ikale Tahi get the publicity, but the Heat have quietly the best team in O-Pro. The Heat face their toughest game to date, however, with today's game against the upstart Fiji Stingers.
2 Ikale Tahi 4.17 - The Tahi move back into the top two, despite a passing offense that is simply average. They are carried by a dominating defense that is first overall in rushing and scoring, and second in passing. Today's game against Auckland will do littel to challenge their standing
3 Pioneers 6.33 - Grinnell may be reeling off two straight losses, and has another brutal game today against West Scranton, but statistically they remain an elite team. They are, in fact, the only other team besides the Heat to rank top ten in every category. Their defense, however, has shown some weaknesses lately, that will have to be addressed if the Pioneers hope to maintain their ranking.
4 Stingers 6.83 - The Stingers make their top 5 debut after the weekly Great Barrier Blowout. But Fiji is no one hit wonder, riding a tough defense and productive running game to stake their claim among the elite. Today's game against the Heat will serve as a true barometer of how talented this team really is.
5 Kava Sharks 7.00 - No one is talking about the Kava Sharks, who have been one of the most consistent members of the top 5. They've had a fairly early first half, but things get tougher in the second half. Today's game against Saipan is little more than a mid season scrimmage in preparation for next "week's" game against Fiji.
6 Nites 8.17

27 Men O' War 24.50
28 Cardinals 24.83
29 Flames 25.33
30 Dawg Pound 26.17
31 Warriors 28.50
32 Reef Sharks 32.00
Random Observations:
* The Great Barrier Reef Sharks continue in the distinguished position of ranking 32nd in every statistical category.
* Zeta teams hold the 1-4 positions in scoring offense (the Ikale Tahi are the only Alpha team in the top 5 scoring) in large part because of weekly beat downs against Great Barrier Reef Sharks.
* Today's game between the 'Nites and Incinerators is a rematch of one of the more interesting playoff games I've seen in recent memory, in which the 'Nites beat IC 49-40.
