Zeta Game of Week:
Singapore Flames at San Fran Gold Rush:
I'm looking forward to a great game between two of SEA AA's oldest and most respected teams. It should be quite a battle, and with a little luck, either team is capable of coming away with the win. However, if you examine the teams a little closer, you'll find the Gold Rush have stacked the odds in their favor.
Looking at both rosters reveals that the Gold Rush has advantages both in average level and amount of players. This will be difficult for the Flames to overcome, but not impossible.
SF Gold Rush - 51 players total
Offense Average Level - 29.88
Defense Average Level - 29.82
Kicking Average Level - 25.50
Singapore Flames - 42 players total
Offense Average Level - 29.21
Defense Average Level - 29.38
Kicking Average Level - 27.50
In addition to being shorthanded at a couple key positions, the Flames also have more players currently flagged as inactive, as well as a lower overall chemistry than the Gold Rush. I still think victory is within their grasp, but they will need to win the turnover battle and a enjoy a healthy dose of luck to beat out a better prepared SF team. GOLD RUSH by 12
As a bonus, here's a quick interview with both teams before their match. Colinbomber representing the Flames and GM Tracker answering for the Gold Rush:
What do you think your chances are against the Flames? Will it be a close game, or a blowout?
Gold Rush:I am thinking that this will be a close one. It will most likely come down to who turns the ball over less. Given our two teams history, I would be lying if I did not say I was confident going into this game.
Flames:I think we had a pretty good shot at SF. We lost to them in the playoffs last season in a very tight game where we had shots at the endzone to win it at the end.

Gonna come down whether we can control their pass rush.
Which opposing Offensive players give you the most concern?
Gold Rush:They have a pretty well rounded group and can get it down through the air and on the ground. To be honest I am worried about all of them.
Flames:They have good Qbs and John Taylors with 14 TD's and 23 yds/catch is a big threat.
Which opposing Defensive players worry you the most concern?
Gold Rush:Once again, you have a solid unit that works well together. It should be a great battle.
Flames:Their DL, strong unit with Rawr Rawr putting up huge numbers.
Do you think the other team has boosted? If not, do you think they will before this game?
Gold Rush:
I think some have and maybe some are waiting. Honestly it is irrelevant; we have to play them either way. If they are waiting to boost specifically for us, I will take that as a compliment.
Flames: No comment.
Name the team with the stronger squad in the following areas:

So many gutted teams in this league that really its only games like this that you can really tell how teams match up.
Rush/Riders are setting the standard this season, but I'm confident we have the team to take rush down. We need to be efficient in the red zone, something we haven't been doing well so far this season.
How many sacks and hurries will Rawr Rawr get this game?
Gold Rush:Singapore has a great offensive line. Those guys are no joke. Our pass rushers are going to have their hands full. I don’t think we are going to see one of those cut lose game by us with sacks in the teens, but our guys will be there. I have not seen a game by us in resent time, when we were unable to bring pressure and keep the QB aware of the fact that he is playing in a football game.
Flames:Rawr Rawr..got 6 last time we played. I think(hope) this time we keep him below 2.

Da Nang Yellow Jackets at The Elephant Riders:
The minuscule Yellow Jacket stingers are unable to penetrate the thick skin of the big grey beasts. The Riders swat Da Nang away like the minor nuisance they are. ELEPHANT RIDERS by 35
Vietnam Villains at Bangkok Blue Demons:
When the Villains of Vietnam show up in Bangkok for this match, they may think they have entered the Abyss. Hell or world above, the Demons are going to punish them for all their sins. BLUE DEMONS by 35
The Pretenders at Sault Ste Marie Metalheads:
The Pretenders have been making strides and churning out some good tunes, but they ain't nearly good enough to dance to the Metalheads' beats. METALHEADS by 18
Thailand Cheap Toys at Kyoto Samurai:
The Katanas of Kyoto are masterful creations, each length of razor sharp steel folded hundreds of times until crafted to metallic perfection. Thailand must put lead in their Toys, because the Samurai will look too weak to fend them off. CHEAP TOYS by 28
Garut Fire Horses at SBI Waves:
Did you know Flaming Horses are great surfers? Neither did I. That's probably because they aren't. Garut gets sucked under and drowns in a riptide. SBI hangs ten on them. WAVES by 10

The Maulers go Postal at Manila and take no prisoners. MAULERS by 21
Thung Yai Tigers at Kapres Pride:
Tigers and other predators don't care what you are proud about. They just want to eat your flesh and drink your blood. The only kind of suffering Thung Yai faces in Kapres is indigestion. TIGERS by 15
