Ok, almost too late for week 5, but better late than never. It took me a bit longer than I anticipated to make some of the improvements that I wanted to make for this season.
Well, it's a lot the same as last season, but hopefully better.
I changed up the scoring procedure just a bit, cause I felt like teams who scored mostly in big plays last season got a little shortchanged. So big plays (>20 yards) are weighted a little more this year.
Also, I changed the scoring method just a bit, which will allow for more (or less) separation between ranks. For example, last season my rankings could have teams ranked first and second in the success point category getting 100 and 96.7 points, respectively, even if the top team had a score of 700 and the second place team had a score of 240....so not as much separation as the scores indicated. Conversely, if the top team had 700 and the second place team had 699, it was still 100, 96.7, so too much separation. That's fixed this season. And if you're not a good team, you'll have negative points in the StickMan Brand Rankings this year. Otherwise, it's the same basic principle as last season....you get points for moving the ball, and scoring, and for beating teams that have winning records.
