Got this piece of gear rolled up:

Superior Brown Doo Rag
+3 blocking
+1 Quick Cut SA

For my left guard. The high Blocking is obviously nice, but would Quick Cut be any good? Might it help when the guard pulls?

Quick cut/change direction both just increase the angle at which a player can make a turn while keeping momentum. Doesn't matter what they are doing.

I'd think it would be quite useful for a guard.

I also found this same piece on my LT. Do you think it would be useful dealing with speed rushers?

I am thinking the same thing about FIRST STEP.

Hear this:

1. You make an OT have Shock Block as the main SA.
2. He has strength/agility capped (sped vision in the works)
3. He has first step, and that means he can always beat the DE to the ball...better acceleration, so he SMASHES the DE and the shock block works. At least he will make first contact more often off the snap which will buy some time.

I wish I had bought the slew of fist step SA gear that came my way earlier. I would have +3 first step
