GOTW 1*African Killer Bees 2-1 @ High Plains Drifters 3-0

Very interesting match up here. With 12 teams legitimately fighting for a playoff spot this season, every game is that much more important. The Drifters found a way to beat the Beavers this week with 2 big plays from their WRs. In the past, they had only 1 weapon-Speedy McFastestson. He's still a HUGE threat. Last season when these guys faced off Speedy went 23 receptions for 258 yards. yes, you heard that right. Always known for their Rush defense, the Bees secondary is in even worse shape this season. They've added some emergency help at CB, but they will get crushed if Speedy matches up with them. The Bees did find a way to win 20-10 despite losing the yardage battle by 140 yards by forcing 5 turnovers. If High Plains can avoid the Turnover bug, they'll put up plenty of points on the Bees secondary. On the flip side, the Bees will try to control the clock by pounding it out and if the game with the Beavers is any clue, they should have some success doing so. The Drifters could not get penetration on the quick runs and the up the middle runs were there all day with a 30-34 success rate on middle, right and left runs. In definitely a clash of styles, the Drifters might have to break one or two off the way they did against the Beavers. With their WRs and the Bees corners, they should be able to do that fairly easily.

GOTW 2*Kinshasa Rumblers 3-0 @ Eaton Beavers 2-1

After beating the Gold Coast in week 1, Kinshasa has shown that they will be one of the top teams this season in Elephant. When you consider their levels, it's actually a surprise that their scouting bars aren't higher. I expect this to be another very close game and hope we get the luck of the sim this time around. GL Rumblers.

Morocco Camels 3-0 @ Kampala Kerels 0-3

Well at least we know there will definitely be at least one undefeated team after week 4. Look forward to our 5th meeting with Morocco next week.

Camels 110 Kerels 0

Sahara Sandstorm 0-3 @ Los Angeles eXtreme 2-1

The eXtreme have proven to be one of the most hot-cold teams in the entire league as they have some of the most stunning upsets and the most dominating beat downs in the past few seasons. I expected the Malice to put up a fight, but they really put a great game plan together and took it to the eXtreme. At least they get a week off here.

eXtreme 88 Sandstorm 3

Kilimanjaro Sno Caps 1-2 @ Mogadishu Malice 2-1

I'm not giving up on the Sno Caps yet, but they appear to be heading down the path that destroyed the Somalia Wildcats last season. They haven't been competitive in the first two challenges they've had. I was very impressed by the Malice's commitment to the run against the eXtreme. They pounded it out, trusted their defense, and in the end were rewarded with a victory. The Sno Caps might be finding out that grinding it out in AAA isn't quite as easy as it was in AA. The Malice, however, might have a little kink in the armor there stopping the run as the Bees pounded it at them in week 1 and let to a loss. If they don't stop the run here, they'll be in for the same fate.

Sno Caps 24 Malice 20

Mozambique Thundercats 2-1 @ River Styx Jinx 1-2

The Jinx have to be looking at this as a must win. I really expected the Jinx to compete for a Championship this season, but at 1-2 they can't be happy with their start. They certainly played two tough teams, but they really weren't in either game. And no offense but only putting up 70 on a team that wouldn't even compete for a championship in BBB Canada isn't putting any fear in other teams. On the other side, the Thundercats FINALLY took care of business, controlling the game against the Sno Caps from start to finish. As far as match ups go, the Thundercats have proven they can stop the run, but could be vulnerable to the pass. Last season, the Jinx has one of the most efficient passing attacks in the entire league. On offense, the Thundercats demonstrate an uninspiring balanced offense despite some great levels. Last season when these two met, Mozambique aired it out, throwing the ball 70 times, but faltered in the red zone scoring only 19 points. They just can't seem to find an identity and until they do, they will be relying on a decent defense to keep opponents down. I expect the Jinx to air it out this game in a must win situation and they will find a way.

Jinx 23 Thundercats 16

GOTW 3*San Dimas Saints 2-1 @ Gold Coast Corsairs 1-2

What a huge game for the Corsairs. Having only won 5 of their last 13 games (including playoffs), they have to be questioning themselves despite the bravado put forth in the forums. The Saints, on the other hand, have faced 3 tough opponents and have to be content with a 2-1 record through that stretch. They appear to be every bit as good as they were last season even if their record doesn't land at 13-3 again, they'll be a playoff team. Last season, Gold Coast won this match up handily 31-10 capitalizing on 3 Saints turnovers. San Dimas was unable to stop the Corsairs running game and couldn't get anything going on offense. This season might be a different story. I think these two teams will duke it out and the Saints will enjoy a much awaited week off next game. In the end, I'm just not sure if GC is anything more than just a shell of their former selves. Maybe I'm wrong.

Saints 27 Corsairs 13

Serengeti Wildebeest 0-3 @ The ALL 0-3

I hate to say it but this could be one hell of a game. It also may very well be these two teams only chance at a win this season, so they need to take advantage of it. Serengeti has kept games closer.

Wildebeest 24 ALL 13

This time I think you're going to worsen your record of last week (great predictions there, BTW, except one ) and this time you've got two picks I'll differ with. I think you've under rated the Bees Corners. They aren't the strength of that team, but you're still not giving them the respect they deserve. And WE ARE GOING TO squeak out another one here. I do NOT underestimate the caps. Those guys have been climbing statistically all season. Preseason they looked like a much easier match up, now I'd agree , according to paper they have the edge. But WE want it more. And we are going to go get it!

I think there is no question that the weak spot in the Bees defense is CB, especially their backups. Their starters are very good, but unfortunately you can't set the AI to say "when WR1 is on the field, CB1 is covering him." I don't even think they would disagree with that. I do also believe that I'm due to get some wrong. With how close this league is, I'm 13-1 in predictions the two weeks I've done them. The Malice>eXtreme was the only one I missed. Maybe you guys will get me again.

13-1 is kind of hard to argue with or call terrible. But we ARE out to upset your average, so hey, just predict us to win next time and it's all good.

Unusually terrible predictions, even for you GM. Your ability to cheerlead in this league will never cease to amaze me. I'm sure you've made life long e-friends, even if its left you with a set of lips that are both swollen and chapped.

well, why dont you throw your hat in the ring? If you think you can predict better, go for it. I would love to hear your point of view for the up coming games. Or, are you just like most politicians, talk big, no action, then tossed in the garbage after a while?

(oh, and there is no ass kissing here, he usually picks us to lose. The only difference is we actually prove him wrong sometimes)
