Seems pretty clear to me, that 6 or possibly more teams from EEA1 are headed upstairs to EEAA1 at the end of this season. While the little electronic trophies are nice, I am starting to think the playoffs will be virtually meaningless in terms of promotion.

Any thoughts?

Thats quite possible with as many upper teams are rebuilds, slow builds or gut jobs. I do see some of us simply being promoted. Just means we will all meet in teh pros that much sooner imo.

I'd say the EEA1 is probable one that shouldn't be touched as there is much more parity atleast on the Zeta side of things than any other league I have been in. Sure there is a few more powerful teams than than others but as been said in another thread there is atleast 8 teams that are in the 39-45 overall rankings and I would say most of the player builds are pretty solid.

Plus there is actually more of a chance of an upset in this league than most other leagues as well. Just because of how close in talent the teams in the league are.

i agree with nomad...our leagues is pretty stacked...teams compete good, and there is only a few slow build teams in here.....i wish Bort would just keep the playoff promotion because if you win the league, then it means your team is ready to move up and play at a higher level......i would hate to see 8 or more teams moved up to AA unless overall the teams match up the same...im sure nobody wants to get blown out by higher level teams....just my 2 cents....hahha

I gotta agree with LT

The Meat would've been promoted in almost any other capped league.

But NO.... we were stuck with LT and Saratov

Well I think the Gutters would've been a playoff team in any other capped league....But it just shows how strong the EE A1 league really is. And why you should leave it alone.

4 or 5 teams would've been. Look around, there aren't any other conferences that came out last season with 8 teams at 42 and another at 45.

+1

It won't be left alone, but I think the core of EEAA1 and eventually EEAAA1 will be composed of teams that started right here in EEA1. We are very fortunate having high quality and organized owners. I think this was helped by having a long lead time before we actually got our teams and the fact that everyone opted for a capped league.

It must be very boring and tiresome to play gutted wrecks most of the time.

I can't believe you just said that. Is it not boring and tiresome for you to play teams you have a 100% chance of beating due to the advantages of owning your entire team? No chem hits, AI always on the same page, extra cash because your players sign for minimum long term, extra cash because you create players to send to level 13 teams?

Not trying to start a fight, in all actuality I like you. But I thought boredom and autowins was your ultimate goal?

C37,

I doubt my answer will satisfy you, but I will give it to you anyway.

I view my participation in GLB with a VERY long term perspective. I want to be competitive at the AAA or Pro level 5 seasons from now. There are many clever and much smarter owners than Real LT. I am just trying to develop a strong foundation that will allow me to be competitive down the road. I have 100+ players to build, train and maintain. I prefer doing that, to chasing down human owners and attempting to herd cats. That is the long and short of it.

Wll you are wrong bozo, because that does satisfy me, other than the fact you refer to yourself in third person provides an indicita of mental illness.

I am quitting anyway, due to the b.s. losses proving that this game is fundamentally broken, but I do like your response.

Cade it's not nearly as broken as you think. Look at our teams now. We are both 42 overall. When we played we were just a few players from leveling to hitting the 42 overall bar. I think we have some pretty solid builds on this team and we are made up of people all staying together because we play another game together so we know each other and trust one another. We help each other refine our builds and ask for different perspectives on offense and defense. To say you lost to an inferior team is highly insulting to me and my team. If you cannot accept the fact that the teams in this league are pretty darn good and on any given day can win. Then you should quit.

See my response in the other forum. Your little pow-wows amongst yourself did not win the game. A broken system did. Randy Moss does not get shut down by a freshman corner at the University of Rice EVER, regardless of how many hours the Rice freshman spends playing Battleship with his teammates. The game should work to award recruiting excellence and building a better team, not AI exploits. Sad thing for your team is that the other nerds in this conference spend as much time as you learning the expolit of the week, AND they have a better team than you, so regardless of your awesome team unity and the lovefest the 14 year old player agents on your squad have, you will always fail to come out on top.

By the way, I assume you play for Esageres, who is closer to us than the other teams we lost to, especially Samarkand, who would never come close to beating us if this game was not broken.

You know you don't know a thing about me. And talk about acting like a 14 year old. You're crying cause you can't cut it in this league. And comparing your team to randy moss is a very gross exageration. So you just go quit and cry about it...it's the only thing you've shown you've been able to do consistenly since you've come into this league.
