Alpha Game of the Week
Mongolian Horde at Algeria Addiction:
These two squads are two of the best in the league, and this game will have a major impact on playoff seeding later on. The Addiction are the favorites, but the Horde have made vast gains since their hiccups from last season and are more than capable of giving Algeria all they can handle. This one is tough to call, and will likely come down to whoever happens to be luckier that day. Consulting the crystal ball (bong & beer) I see the Horde stealing a victory off a lucky turnover. HORDE by 3
----------
Krungthep Garudas at Salford Storm:
The two teams have clashed twice before, each coming away with one win. Should be a good game, but look for the Garudas to pull away in the second half. GARUDAS by 12
Pingree Grove Pits at Pontianak Firebirds:
If Pingree wants to earn respect in this league, they'll have to stay competitive with teams like the Firebirds. They can probably hang for a half, but will lose steam in the second. Firebirds fly away with the win. FIREBIRDS by 20
Manila Cyberballers at Cambodia Mountain Men:
Last season, this would have been more or less a toss up. Since then, the Mountain Men have become a proven commodity. Bet on the Khymer getting the job done at home. MOUNTAIN MEN by 21
Ho Chi Minh Hookers at Hiroshima Radiation:
The Hookers enjoy their bye week and let their backups run wild on the gutted Radiation. If you don't score 150+, you should be ashamed of yourselves. Enjoy HCM! HOOKERS by 35
Phuket Water Dragons at Padang Lightning:
The Lightning certainly look stronger on paper, but still have some chemistry issues to iron out. This could be the Water Dragons best shot of defeating them for quite some time to come. Are their claws and fangs up to the task? Something tells me they will be swimming away with their
tails between their legs. LIGHTNING by 14
Columbus Black Knights at Tibet Psychonauts:
A good match between old and young teams, the Psychonauts learn despite their edge in youth that the toothless get ruthless. Black Knights vanquish the Tibetan insanity. BLACK KNIGHTS by 9
AFEF Hooligans at Mount Fiji Dogs:
Hooligans look to steal a win at Mount Fiji, but the Dogs showcase a junkyard mentality to drive AFEF off. Their bite is just as bad as their bark. DOGS by 7
