Warrior General Games

For those of you who've not been a part of WEA#7 from Day-1, a bit of not so insignificant history:

I was awarded my Grim Reapers team the very day before Season-3 started and so with very little time for recruiting, we went into our very 1st game the next day with mostly Level-4 to Level-7 players that friends brought over or built, but about half of our roster was still CPU players....

....and ran head-on into an absolute monster called the South Yorkshire Stars, who had an entire roster full of human players in double-digit levels. Needless to say, they made our introduction to WEA#7 a memorable one (see: painful, 1-each) by handed us our ass on a platter in a 47-0 embarrassment. But then we were just the 1st of many such victims that year, as except for one "oops" against Transylvania, SoYo ran the table to become the WEA#7 inaugural league champion and moved up into Western Europe AA#4 and has established themselves as an ass kicker up there, ever since.

By SoYo's moving up, we in Grim never got the opportunity to redeem ourselves for the worst loss in our team history and that one has admittedly kinda stuck in our craw a bit.... especially as we're not quite the baby Reapers they faced in the in that very 1st game anymore. http://www.geocities.com/rbl100102/Reaper_Baby.jpg

Therefore, being the glutton-for-punishment that I am (also see: cocky old fart, 1-each) I have contacted b_bur, the owner of the South Yorkshire Stars and he has graciously accepted my challenge to a scrimmage game. As SoYo has remained active on the WEA#7 boards and is still an honorary member of the Alpha conference, we thought perhaps others in the league might be interested in viewing this game. A former WEA7 league champion and a Top-2 team in Western Europe AA#4A locked in mortal combat with Death Incarnate and not one comment from anyone outside the Reapers?

Where's all the cat-calls & predictions about how badly we're gonna get get mauled by the mighty Stars? Or, could it be something else prompting the silence of the tomb about this "exhibition?" You don't suppose....

No one wants to talk to a Reaper. He only brings Death!

My boys are gearing up for our two toughest contests of the season but i'm sure they'll start trickling in soon to give you their thoughts and opinions.

As for mine, you guys definitely dont resemble the same team we faced 48 games ago. You've put together a great team Reb, congrats. I think we will be even into the 3rd till our depth starts showing and will win by 2-3 scores. I still have the Stars from our Championship team but weve added even more elite players to our roster since.

Leave it all on the field, you know we will. Good luck Grim and Reb and thanks for the invite. Should be a fun game to watch.
