The moment you all have been waiting for. This time, I'm getting them up well before the games start! Please, do not crucify me for being wrong. I went 12-4 last week, so let's see how this week goes. Starting off with the West:

Cowbells-Gotham: More is showing signs this season that they may be a force in the West. Gotham is definitely showing that they belong as well. I'm going to go with my boys, More Cowbells on this one. I've got a fever, and the only cure is more cowbell!

Skulls-RR: Southbend is always a competitor, but I think the Skulls are going to be prove to be too much. I think RR keeps it close for the first half and the Skulls get pissed and just go ape shit in the second half!

BYB-SSSP: I know. We all wish that they really did disband. Hell, I wanted bknudson's LB. Unfortunately, they did not, and they very well could be the team to beat after they took out a favorite for the West, Austin. Sorry, Psychos, you just don't have it this week.

Rocky-Aggies: Don't really need to say a whole lot. Rocky mountain is pissed and they are taking it out on everybody in their paths.

Syndicate-Mojave: The Panthers once again, are for real. They lost a nailbiter to Austin, so look out Mojave. They are going to embarrass you!

Angels-Gamblers: Sure, both teams will probably be gone after this season, but that's ok. I'm feelin lucky on this one, so I'm gonna load up on Vegas!

Compton-Cochamba: I don't think Compton will lose by well over 200 again, but they will lose big. Sorry guys, you may get back to being a semi-mediocre team.

Now for the main event, perhaps the matchup of the season. In the Scarlet and Cream corner, born somewhere in the middle of a cornfield, The Omaha BA Mofo's! Now, in the puke orange and white? corner, coming from the land of steers and queers, The Austin Orangebloods! (LOL)

I'm going to be as objective and unbiased as possible. Both teams have shown some weaknesses early on this season, but as most you know, these have been two of the top teams in the West for a few seasons now. I'm going to say that Austin WILL NOT avenge their loss last season. Omaha in nailbiter!

And now, on to the East.

Stoners-D.C.: Stoners have another decent test, but should handle this one ok. Hopefully, they are getting a nice warm-up. They will need it!

4C's-Slayers: I'm a huge Slayer fan, but I just think 4C is going to be a little too much. This one should be pretty close but the Slayers won't be able to get it done.

Nudists-Hitmen: The Hitmen have some good peeps, really classy folks on their team. They see the sweet sight of Nudists doing what Nudists do to cheerleaders and become distracted. They get their asses kicked and complain to the chairman of the West, Hskrchmps. He's too busy watching the replays to really care.

DSBC-Rebels: Let me put it this way. After hearing one of my GM's talk about how great the Rebels are, I'm going to laugh when I see the final on this one. Sorry Rebels, just won't be your day! Besides, Ezo is going gray trying to figure out how to get out of A3. Don't worry Ezo, I am too!

Dayton-Lewiston: As much as I really wish Lewiston could pull this out, its just not going to happen.

NY-Kansas: Kansas is still here?! Not for long. NY will show them why

Shelby-El Paso: I think Shelby is going to win this, and it will be a marginal victory.

Now, onto one of the greatest rivalries in the East. Turin and Tricity. Both teams have surely lost some of their greatness with the loss of personnel. Both are filled with very classy agents as well and are very respectful of eachother. I think Tricity is going to pull this out though.

GL everybody with your games tomorrow. I tried to spice up these predictions a little bit to give everybody a chuckle. Til next week. I'm out!

Just trying to get a chuckle out of you all. I don't hate the Longhorns, really. But I can't wait until NU takes out VaTech and proves that Bo and Huskers are back!

'cause beating an unranked ACC school means that you are "back"?

VaTech has had one of the top defenses in the country for the last few years, statistically. I know they are not ranked, but it would be a good step. Callahan and company would probably get manhandled

Hey HSKR, any chance you're going to Lubbock for the Neb/Tech game? If so let me know, we have a tailgate party going on and you'd be more than welcome to stop by for some food and beer

VaTech has played in the ACC for the last couple years. How hard is it to defend the mighty offenses of North Carolina, Duke, Florida State, and Virginia. How easy is it to amass awesome stats against William and Mary, Furman and Ohio?

I like VaTech more than most (my wife is a grad) but they are going to need to get some better competition if they are going to be considered a legitimate threat. Tearing through the ACC just doesn't do it for me. (or Big East or Pac-1 or Big Televen...etc, etc.)

How about Wake Forest? I do agree that it is a weak conference, but if you watch or pay attention to NU football, you'll see why I made that statement.

Really?

That's the card you want to play? The "Wake Forest is a perennial college football powerhouse" card?

Firstly, VT hasn't played Wake in two years, VT won 27-6 in the 2006 season. Even in 2006, the Wake Forest offense mustered around 24 points a game with a high of 38 v Maryland (W) and a low of 6 v VT (L). Hardly a high powered offense to use as a judge of VT's defensive might.

Secondly, Wake has been to one New Years day bowl in the past million years (2006, loss to Louisville). They just aren't an impressive team - they are on the rise, but they are not impressive yet.

Which brings us to VT v Nebraska - beating VT will be a good move for you guys, but it is hardly a sign that you're "back." Getting rid of Callahan and picking up Pellini was a huge move in the right direction. Your games v Missouri and Oklahoma will be much bigger indicators of your place in the world than some crappy team out east. Yes, I called VT crappy.

How about NU vs. Kansas? That'll be a telling one too, since the Jayhawks are a solid team that, by the way, beat VA Tech last year in the Orange Bowl and has beaten NU two out of the past four years. They haven't, however, won in Lincoln in forty years.
