Should be up by tonight. I'm waiting until after the results then I'll put some up. I actually wrote some up for Week 2 and then the site went into downtime last night and I lost them. Didn't feel like redoing them. Rest assured, I will be keeping my promise and they should be up tonight.

Update: This will be rather brief, but if I get a good response, I'll put more effort into them in the future as I learn a little more about the teams. This is an example of what I do for my Africa AAA league. http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=1093349 Of course, a lot of it is running beefs, challenges, but over time it's quite fun. So with no further ado. The first set of predictions for Season 5.

Prince George's Kings 2-0 @ North Pole Yetis 2-0

The Kings come off their biggest victory in Canada A after ending the Rockstars' 25 game regular season win streak with a brilliant defensive effort. They took it to the ground and pounded it out, let their defense win the game, and they did. The Yetis are also 2-0 and will fight for a playoff spot, but with gaping holes on defense, they aren't in PGK's league yet. With only 2 CBs (one a level 9) and weak depth across the board on defense, the Yetis will be in for a long afternoon against the Kings as they pound the ball up the field. Expect the Time of Possession to be at least 40-20. That's not a good thing for them.

Kings 56 Yetis 3

GOTW 1*Moose Jaw Jackalopes 2-0 @ San Diego Rockstars 1-1

I don't really review my games as to not give away anything, but I will say it's a shame. Coming off our first loss ever, we didn't want to be staring at 1-2, but that's a real possibility with Moose Jaw next. This is definitely a matchup of teams looking at home playoff games and it will be a great one. The match up screens show almost identical teams and I'm really looking forward to the challenge. Good luck Jackalopes!

Thunder Bay Huskies 1-1 @ Northern Lights 2-0

I believe there are 4 elite teams in this conference and there is no doubt in my mind that Northern Lights is one of them. They gave us fits last season and they are BETTER this season. I might go so far as to call them the real team to beat. The Huskies lost a tough game to the Loons. The Lights then went out and simply smoked them. The Huskies have an outside shot at a playoff spot, but most likely will end up on the outside looking in. The Lights really have a backloaded schedule this season and will most likely be 8-0 going into our matchup in week 9. Until then, they keep on rollin'.

Lights 69 Huskies 3

Winnipeg Falcons 2-0 @ Alberta Vampires 0-2

Not much to say here. Alberta was gutted and then the new owner hasn't been on since he got the team. He probably didn't even realize his name was on the wait list. It's been 11 days of inactivity and whoever takes them over has their work cut out for them. The Falcons as usual look to outperform their levels and their matchup screen. I'm not sure they made any moves in the off-season to put them in real contention for anything more than another trip to the playoffs, but they are a dangerous team and will enjoy their stat padding game.

Falcons 154 Vampires 0

Toronto Fightin' Loons 1-1 @ Saulte Ste Marie Silver Bullets 2-0

A big game here for these two teams. Both have playoff aspirations and the Silver Bullets made a big mark by upsetting Grim in week 1. They look to have a very stingy defense, but their offense has some holes still. The Loons have done a pretty good job building a contender, but with a bunch of CPUs really aren't ready to compete yet. Both teams and players are pretty new to the league, so welcome and good luck.

Silver Bullets 38 Loons 10

Grim Afterlife 1-1 @ Bort's Wrath 0-2

Well, Bort's Wrath looks more competitive this season than last, but they still don't have all the pieces to the puzzle. Grim lost a tough opening day game and bounced back with a solid win over the Wolverines. Grim's just better here.

Afterlife 51 Wrath 17

Southpark Cows 0-2 @ Winnipeg Wolverines 0-2

The Wolverines were not expecting to be 0-2 in this league, but they still have the team to compete for a playoff spot. The Cows started a few players over again and just are missing too many important positions to compete yet again. Their losing streak moves to 20.

Wolverines 45 Cows 10

Atlanta Flash 0-2 @ Edmonton Magicians 0-2

This is actually a really interesting match up. Both teams are in similar situations and have built reasonably good teams in a short period of time. Though it is most likely that Southpark and Alberta will be the relegated teams, this is an important match because the winner all but ensures themselves of another season in Canada A. Both teams played the Yetis to similar scores, but Edmonton looked a little more dangerous.

Magicians 38 Flash 24

We made a couple small moves, but will be enjoying our 100% chemistry all season long instead

thanks appreciate the welcome. We are trying to fill some holes but free agency has been tough to close. We did all right early, but can not get the last few pieces to commit.

Guess we are going to have to "juice up" our existing players.

SHHHHH...do not tell anyone.

It was somewhat sad doing these predictions. There's really only 2 games that I could see going either way, us and Moose Jaw and the Flash/Magicians

That is a great job on the predictions and write ups! I was disappointed to see we had you guys so early on the schedule. I would have preferred to see you near the end, with the conference title on the line. This should be a good one, whichever way it goes! Good luck to you too, Rockstars.
