I missed some of the scores, but went 7-1 in Week 1. Let's see if I can keep it up.

Daggers @ Giant Monkeys - Once again, the race to 35 points is on! This one's over before it starts. Daggers 255 - Giant Monkeys 0

NERC @ Viridia - A matchup of two teams looking to prove themselves is Season 5. NERC is coming off a huge win over the Fanboys, while Viridia is reeling from a loss to the Villagers. NERC 31 - Viridia 17

Fanboys @ Lizard Lickers - Picking against the home team ends here. Unless something drastic has happened between Monday and Wednesday, the Fanboys are in for a long day. Lizard Lickers 42 - Fanboys 10

River Rats @ Fury ***GOTW*** - The River Rats and Fury both ran over their opponents to start the season. On their off day, the River Rats shows off their passing prowess as well. The difference in this game is likely to be turnovers. River Rats 24 - Fury 23

Steel Riders @ Rex - Welcome to A6, Rex! Steel Riders 255 - Rex 0

Knights @ Villagers - {YAWN}...the trend continues. Villagers 255 - Knights 0

Energy @ Avengers - The Avengers look to end an eight game losing streak when they face the Energy. In all likelihood, the losing streak ends here. Avengers 38 - Energy 13

Bearphins @ Badgers - From all appearances, the Badgers are about to start a freefall. They just lost their kicker, have several inactive players just sitting on the roster, and just don't seem to have it together. The Bearphins, on the other hand, are looking to put their opening day debacle behind them. Bearphins 69 - Badgers 17

I really hope it's not that bad.

Glad you took it in stride. lol

Perseverance will be the key. A team I GM, Dublin Druids, was a gutted team and they fought back within 2 seasons. Took them lots of work, but they did it. Good luck!

Didn't want to call it that way, but I'll get called out by Weiss if I don't give his team a big enough blowout.

I honestly don't think that's how it'll go, IF the old Fanboys show up.

It's good to see that AirMcMVP is finally getting on the LLLL train with his predictions.

I'd be extremely pleased with a 42-10 win. The Fanboys really haven't had a lot of balls bounce their way. If not for those 4 picks by NERC, that game could have had a very different outcome.

Oh, AirMcMVP, I'll still find a way to call you out for your predictions.

What self-respecting owner picks against his own team in the Game of the Week? I'm not saying it's not a smart pick -- Memphis is certainly quite capable of beating you guys -- but show some confidence in the home team, or at least some bravado... I don't think a little bulletin board material will be the difference in the game.

Nice! I'd love to get that type of revenge on the badgers. They were the ones who knocked us off in the Eastern finals in BBB12 in season 2.

I love these prediction threads. Good stuff Air. Keeps the games exciting.

As for those picks, you are right Weiss. Turnovers are the things that won us that game. However, we do pride ourselves on our defense so I don't want to think of it as a fluke but rather great pressure. We know how good of a team New Orleans has and we definitely know Viridian is tough. We just feel that if we play to our potential we can take down anyone. This game is huge today for us because if we win we'll be 3-0 after the first 3 weeks as we play a gutted team in Week 3. Here's hoping. Good luck to everyone this week.

I'm going to pick Fury, and also going to say that NO keeps it closer against LLLL (but still loses) Maybe 28-17.

Keep in mind I don't even know who boosted anymore.

We need this win after losing to the daggers

Not much to worry about this week, Dad...unless you plan to start your QB at NT and punter at QB, or something crazy like that (no offense to Rex). In fact, Fanboys will be the next game you really need to prepare for.

First OT game for the Vanguards ever. Game ball goes to Chris Lemke for his incredible performance capped off by a 53 yard field goal to win it.
