what SA's have you all found to be the most effective, i've heard that the pancake SA and Line General SA (for Centers). my G has good physical attributes and i think its time to start adding SA's but i don't want to waste them on pointless ones.

pancake is not as good as it sounds. pancakes don't make a good olineman and actually get low and shock block are more effective for pancakes anyway

I'd love to hear the answer on this one. I have a L31 OT (utility) that is almost done with his raw stats and is looking toward bulking up on SA's after he levels once or twice more. It seems like all anyone really likes is Pancake, Protect (for LOT) and Line General (for C).

The Pancake SA is a great ability. I made Top Pancake in my league last season and I am pretty sure my level 6 in Pancake SA had an impact.
However, making pancakes is something everyone can do, even without points in the SA. It all depends on what you want for your O-Line make.

If you're building a LOT, is it worth it ever to put any points into the run blocking SA's? Assume fr the sake of the argument that your team runs a balanced offense.

I'd say no.
But then again, you'll already have a couple points in there for other SAs.

I think Get Low and Cut Block can help but I'm not sure.

Without a doubt. Most RE have low strength and smashing them on run plays will lower there in game morale and make their speed rush less effective on the outside. If your team runs over 50% of the time on first down then run blocking is important on the backside of runs just for the morale decrease you can cause.

At LT, I'd say Protect first, then either Shock Block or Absorb Pain, depending on your STR.

+942 to this!
In a recent game, my teams first two offensive possessions, our LOT got shredded for three sacks (first time in franchise history we've given up more than 2 sacks in a game, let alone a quarter)...however once we pounded the run a few times and put that guy on his arse...he was effectively neutralized as a threat (of course, our QB was doomed to a bad day thanks to those three quick sacks).
