First up - Across the whole of GLB there were numerous UNEXPECTED blowouts with theoretically equal teams getting a big bump up (Bort's been playing again I think....).
This week we see more even match ups for some of the leaders as last weeks 8 from 8 was TOOOOOO easy.
Nation vs Jackals:
Early Season 1 vs 2 (thanks to Cupcake games Week 1
) Nation manhandled the Vikings last game and posted 1000 yards, including 600+ on the ground. They controlled the run but gave up 350, unproductive Passing yards. Jackals put up 900+ yards rushing and QB On the Mark sent the WaterBoy out for the 2nd Half to hand the damn Pigskin off. Scouting says they are practically even - instinct says the Nation rolls to 2-0.
Nation by 10
Rhinos vs Spears:
Spears are sore from being rough-ridden by the Lions in a hard loss while the Rhinos are coming of a rout of the grazing Zebras. Scouting has Rhinos with the Advantage - Logic gives them even more credit.
Rhinos by 14
Lions vs Beerbrocks:
Lions tore the Spears apart last week with an unusually balanced game plan that saw their potent running game fail to get out of 2nd gear. Beerbrocks will present a paper thin challenge despite their heroic efforts against the Eagles.
Lions by 75
Mambas vs HitMan Cartel:
Once again the Scouting bars would have us believe that these teams are eavenly matched. Cartel are coming off a tough loss to the improving Kings and should prove a stern proposition for the Mambas who registered a solid performance against the Rainmakers last week. Stern test yes - Stern enough?
No
Mambas by 10
Woolsheds vs Eagles:
I see little to stop the Wollsheds going 2-0 against the massively outmatched Eagles. Star DT Haynesworth will find the Woolsheds OLine a tougher proposition than last weeks fodder whilst Colorchange will take a BIG step to the Sack King Crown this week. I can see Eagles circling the Woolsheds - shame the ColorChange boys have Shotguns to hand...
Woolsheds by 45....or more, Lots more in fact
Kings vs Scorpions:
Kings still looking for 'that' passing attack to test their Infamous DB's - Scorpions won't provide that challenge though. After registering a hard loss to the Woolsheds Scorpions are staring 0-2 in the face. Kings will prove to be way too strong in every facet of the game.
Kings by 28
Rainmakers vs Pirates:
Damn - Pirates take another beating.
Rainmakers by 14
Zebras vs Vikings:
Last but not least.....possibly
The Zebras have a habit of putting up points against good D's. They also concede them against Good O's. Luckily the Vikings offer neither
