River Rats vs Avengers - The Avengers started our strong last season, but limped to the finish, losing 8 out of 9 down the stretch (including the playoffs). The River Rats look strong as always, and should win this one going away. River Rats 38 - Avengers 17

Fanboys vs Red Celtics - Is this the season for the Red Celtics to finally get over the hump? Week 1 will be a good test, as the Fanboys are always tough. I think NERC pulls out the close victory to start the season strong. NERC 24 - Fanboys 20

Badgers vs Knights - The only question here is how long it takes the Badgers to get a 35 point lead. Badgers run all over the Knights. Badgers 100-6

Energy vs Giant Monkeys - The Energy open the game against the hapless Giant Monkeys. Another snoozer here. Energy 69 - Giant Monkeys 10

Vanguards vs Villagers - Is this the season for Viridia to return to the postseason? If so, they'll have to knock off some of the big boys...and that includes the Villagers. A Vanguard win could happen, but isn't likely. Villagers 31 - Vanguard 17

Lizard Lickers vs Undead - Another race to 35 here as the Lizard Lickers face the Undead. Another one that's not even close. Lizard Lickers 125 - Undead 3

Daggers vs Steel Riders - The Daggers are known for their early season struggles/late season charges. The early season struggles could continue this year, starting with the BBB promotion Steel Riders. This game is a good measuring stick for both teams. Steel Riders 27 - Daggers 17

Fury vs Bearphins - The Bearphins came in from BBB talking a big game. They get a huge test in week 1 against last year's #2 seed, the Fury. Both teams struggled in the preseason, and whoever figured out what was causing their struggles could have a big day. Fury 17 - Bearphins 13

What, are you saying we'll quit playing at halftime, AirMcMVP? The Elves and Predators averaged 100 points more than what you've got us scoring.

I don't think we came in talking a big game. I said that I knew for a fact we'd be here this season, but then I said it'd be a much bigger challenge than BBB12. Down there we had maybe 3 hard games, and the way it looks, up here we will only have 3 easy games... But GL to the Fury, and I expect you guys to be very tough to beat.

Nice way to start off the season for my Red Celtics and happy to see the Fury stick it to the newbies in the league. Gotta say I definitely didn't expect a 34-6 win over the Fanboys but still was nice to see. All the credit goes to our defense in that one.

Honestly, good game. Your passing attack it potent, and will get you quite a few wins. I don't remember the last regular season game where we gave up that many yards in the air.

Also, great game Daggers. I'm seriously not looking forward to our matchup next Sunday.

haha, you know me all to well. But really though... today was a real smack in the face. no more 16-0 seasons it looks like haha. I did say this league would be tougher than BBB12 though

ETA: Welcome to USA A6, bflaxdog. I don't know if our 250-point victory was the last straw, or if the owner bailed before our game even started, but the Death Valley Undeads are under new ownership, with a new name, the Idaho Rex.

Any idea what happened there. I definitely knew we could win but I really didn't expect a blowout. Especially on the road. You guys have a helluva team there. I think you beat us on a last second FG last year that was the difference in us making the playoffs. Maybe we were just pissed and wanted revenge? LOL
