Well the first edition of the A#7 Eastern Conference Power Rankings is finally here. Once again this is a collaborative effort in which players submit their top 10. I'm still looking for anyone and everyone as right now for this first installment it's just myself and Night Dragon (not even in A7 anymore, y'all are just lazy).

1. Alpine Golfers

Alpine is the unanimous #1 heading into the season getting both 1st place votes by Night Dragon and Mat McBriar. Night Dragon commented "Holy shit that was hard. After Alpine it's a fucking toss up."

2. Naked Mole Rats

Following the unanimous #1 is the unanimous #2. The Naked Mole Rats are a tough squad for anyone to face. Mat McBriar said "After adding Chris Choi there's just this different swagger on the team...and for some reason I feel aroused."

3. North Side Dream Killers

NSDK were rated down at 5 from North Dragon but Mat McBriar's #3 ranking squeezes them in at the 3 spot. Mat McBriar said, "CRich is too sneaky and crafty to let that team even get close to mediocrity."

4. Miami Canes

The Canes roll in at #4 and were in both Night Dragon's and Mat McBriar's top 5. Mat McBriar commented "Any team that has two tacos, a wizard, and Stone Cold is going to be a hell of a team to mess with."

5. Athens Scoregasms

Squeaking in at #5 is the Athens Scoregasms. Night Dragon had them down all the way at #7 but Mat McBriar threw them in his top 5. Night Dragon said "The East is going to be a fucking grind this year."

6. RU Scarlet Knights

7. New Orleans Golden Kangaroos

8. Carolina Cardiac Cats/Battle Creek Bullies

10. Minnesota Ambush

Once again anyone who would like to participate in the power rankings just shoot me a PM and you can get in on the Week 1 Rankings.

Thanks! Great to see some rankings for the east as well!

We can feel the pressure! I think the Eastern conference can end up being much closer this year than it was in season 4 and I never see us going 16-0 again. 13-3, 14-2 or something like that would be a GREAT season!

Best of luck to everyone!

Neither myself nor Night Dragon saw Harrisburg in the top 10. And THAT is very scary. I'm hoping NMR has done enough to stay near the top of the east. I guess we have the scrimmages to gauge ourselves before the start of the season. Silverymoon ran a 100% run gameplan at us, though, lol.

Only allowed 3.3 yards per carry but they ran it 60 something times.

I put Rutgers and Miami (3 and 4 respectively) because both are very physical teams and should give a lot of teams fits. Physical teams don't lose to teams they should beat, so they should get a lot of wins. CRich is probably mad at me, but NDSK playoff record is something I cannot get passed. He has once again recruited like a mother and brought in top talent again. His chem took a hit as a result so I put them in the 5 hole. Then you have the two upcomers who I know nothing about. Like it or not, but they are going to make some noise and most likely one of them will end up in the top 4 at seasons end. Who it is....I am not going to beat myself up to figure that one out right now. My sleeper team will be the froggies again. It looks like they will rank second behind NDSK when it comes to recruiting this offseason. Do they have the GM personal to get it done? I did have you guys in my top ten. I think I rounded off the other two spots with Minnesota who for whatever reason fell from AA land and made your conference that much tougher and Carolina who is slightly behind Miami and Rutgers as another physical team. For those I didn't put in the top 10, make me look dumb and win games.

Good luck all.

They did the same thing against us in last season's post season scrimmage games. 100% run out of the goal line formation.

Austin did the same against us. In my opinion that shows no class whatsoever. If they think the pre-season games are complete bullshit, at least have the decency to PM the other team beforehand and let them know that you are doing that.

So many of the other teams in the east have done a lot of recruiting this off-season. We have stayed mostly quiet and I'm not so sure that we deserve the #1 ranking based on anything else than history.

What a bunch of bullshit. No offense, but how does it show no class? Should they hold your hand and walk you out onto the field? It's a scrimmage game. Who gives a rat's ass if they ran every play or punted on 2nd down. It means zilch.

I have to agree with Moses on this one - whether they screwed around makes no difference. I find it surprising that they actually managed to beat you doing that, but I don't think there's a case to call it classless. There's no rule saying you need to try your damndest in preseason - if anything its your opportunity to try crazy shit.

Yah, I'm happy some guys are trying crazy things. We got passed on 100 percent and got exposed a bit. It really showed me some way we can work on shutting down the pass better though.

They had boosted their team, we hadn't boosted a single player, a three-level difference is quite big in this game.

I know there is no rule and I understand your position perfectly, however I think it is utterly stupid and a lack of sportsmanship. That is just my opinion.

(The only reason I really care about it is since we got our whole defense wiped out by a bug last year and have to rebuild it and need every snap we can get)

Hard to believe the Ambush finished 8th last season and dropped down to 10 this season.

Thats alright keep us under the radar we like it like that
