A long time coming...

in other news, the Spartans first game in EEAA#2 is against... Georgia Generals again... grrrrrwtf!

I don't think it is going to be as thrilling as it could have been last season... 1 verse 1... when it could have meant something.. Good luck thou... and I Do hope we meet at the end of the season when it will really matters...

Yea there doing best of the best to start the season or something. We get the relegated team day 1. Time to see if we have game this year.

That is a tough day 1... Zata looks to have not gotten the hit like Alpha did... Good Luck with that one... Alpha is going to be a lot tougher to get through this season...

i think the only time a scrimmage game means 'nothing' is when both sides agree to do experiments (eg i run both teams the first half, he runs both teams the second half). otherwise, i just don't get all this stuff about 'scrimmages mean nothing!'

I was just saying... no one was playing for a championship this day... nothing more... nothing less...

As far as a scrimmage goes... I like having these 2 games to work on a few things... I learned a good deal from today's game...

the funny thing with scrims as soon as someone gets blown out they are the first to say ohh its only a scrim we wernt trying I say they were trying different things which ok ill buy that once when we beat you 61-30 but then when we play you again as the first scrim this season and hang 45-17 on you and you still say it was the same reason that is bs take it like a man and figure out your teams inabilities and stop making excuses

this is what i have a problem with. such as last season when the Hitmen beat the Generals 19-0 in the preseason and the Generals said basically 'oh nice win, but it doesn't mean anything we were trying x y and z out i mean ya it was a win but just know you didn't really face our best stuff blah blah blah'


now, if you (Spanky) didn't mean it that way that's perfectly fine. but i didn't put words in your mouth, those were your words, and they sounded like every other person when they say 'scrims mean the nothing haha!' - and that's the stuff that's irritating

The Monkeys HATE to lose... and we were playing that game to win... not to make a point of the game... just to win... and the start of this thread was about a game that was a long time coming... but at this point of the season... #1 verse #1 just is not there for me... the Monkeys have not won anything yet... we won the first scrimmage game.. where I learned some good stuff about our team to work on...

So... "Good game guys... not that it means anything today..." I may have used the wrong words, if you took it the way you did... Just today... no Championship was on the line.. but I did say after the quote, that I hope our two teams do make it to the League Championship... so we can play that #1 verse #1 game.... and have it mean... someone won a League Championship...
