Well its never to early to pontificate about whats gonna happen in season 5, and of course to start some good natured debate. So I offer this my humble early pre-season rankings
Zeta Conference Pre-season Rankings
The Fabulous Four
1. The Roman Legion(14-2)
30-2 In the last two seasons a regular season powerhouse that with all due respect seems to be the Buffalo Bills of the conference cant quite seem to get it done in the postseason
2. Walterfootball.com Draftniks(13-3)
Quality Strong program seem to trail on the legion in terms of talent - will there off-season and apparently better game planning be the difference this year
3. Hollywood Knights(12-4)
Last years jekyll and hyde team returns most of their rosters on with teams behind them having a difficult off-season so far
4. New Jersey Crocodiles(11-5)
Solid team well built boasts an exciting offense combined with a well rounded defense hard to find weaknesses against them
The Contenders
5. Iberian Bocs(6-10)
Clearly on the rise and good depth and appear solidy built well held together appear on the rise if they can prove that they can beat a quality opponent
6. Misc Manlets(11-5)
Strong team could easily win the league but still have some serious off-season recruiting to do though but have cash on hand to do so
7. Warsaw Wolves(5-11)
Obviously Im biased but I think were easily in a position to make a great push going into the season we've made some serious upgrades to build on what we did last season and our biggest issue may be early season chemistry but with the roster pretty much set now sky should be the limit
8. Chuck Norris(10-6)
Still have some holes to fill in terms of depth and don't have the finances right now to get it done some early season recruiting could rocket them up
On the Outside
9. Milano Mamertini(10-6)
With all due respect their roster is starting to look like a gutted team in terms of players and they dont appear to have cash on hand to deal with the situation could be saved by early recruiting but it'll be a great feat to pull that off
10.The Hague Pirates(9-7)
Hard team to call they were pretty opportunistic team last year and could easily make the postseason again you still have to wonder if they measure up to the best though
11.Pamplona Bulls(2-14)(AA)
Our new addition they appear to have a balanced if not deep team but look like they could do some damage particularly against the bottom teams in the league
12.Vienne Vikings(2-14)
Purely a gut feeling about the quality of their ownership, just look like they are build a good foundation and may do some damage particularly late , Im personally hoping to lead off the season against them
It's Gonna be a long long season
13. isreal warriors(2-14)
Still a celler dweller and not gonna leave it anytime soon
14. Athens Minatours(5-11)
Under new managment and rebuilding from the floor up
15.Dublin Disasterbators(1-15)
Read isreal comments - not gonna change
16. Luxemborg Sidewinders(2-14)
Slow building team gonna be very very dangerous in the future but not so dangerous as of right now
