In all fairness, the experiments were beat badly at times during the regular season, but really stepped it up in the playoffs. I think we can learn something valuable about GLB on that...not sure what though?

What we learned is that zombie teams (where the owner owns all the players) are basically impossible to compete with.
They lost games early, but keep in mind that this is a team that was all level 1 to start last season. Two seasons, two boosts later and they're all decent level, they're all on exactly the same page and all built perfectly to compliment each other.
All the new cap leagues were filled with them. We got lucky in Canada A that teams were not able to prepare mid-season. Our league only got two (them and to some extent Nike).

Yeah, a slowbuilt zombie team is going to be tough. I actually think we have what it takes to knock them off. I have a lot of experience with slowbuilds, I've got quite a few of them myself. I do think it'll be tough to overcome their coordinated tactics, but I believe we can do it.

They're truly lucky I took them for granted, tbh.

I predict the Experiments will win.
The power of zombies is obvious, and the GLB powers-that-be should consider something to fix the problem. Rather than banning them (after all they must be a significant revenue source), I think that all teams in which any single agent owns more than six players should be placed in separate leagues. Let the robots battle each other there.

Wow - I didn't really there was such anger at our little Experiment. Well - regardless - good luck, Pwners. Here's hoping for a good game.

Hey, I am not a zombie!
When you are GMing 3 teams and have a dozen teams that you have your players spread between, it is a nice break to have some of those teams have forums where you aren't expected to engage in the same conversation that you have had 6 or 7 times before on your other teams.
In truth, had Nike won people would be complaining about being out leveled and a need for some sort of balance or controls to limit the level disparity. The Experiment is proving that levels can be overcome (although with as close as that game was, I think 10 is about the cap).

I think that was the point of the whole Experiment - see how a team of equal-level players can do. It's applying the balanced-build strategy to a whole team. So far, it seems to be working. But who know for how long. Either way, should be a fun game tomorrow.

Okay, let's set this in perspective. One hand, this is just an experiment, and it's been a successful one. Kudos to the coaches on the team, doing a great deal of the work necessary to run a team with so few agents on it. It also proved the importance of chemistry, as opposed to talent. It showed a number of things, for sure.
On the other hand, this league doesn't entirely consist of agents with 10+ players scattered about or grouped to one team, some people either cannot afford to, or simply don't want to deal with many players(such as myself), and if too many owners get the mentality that you can build a team consisting of you and two other buddies as agents, then players like me would just be sitting here with no teams to play on. Honestly, I don't think the experiment will spread too far, but there's 19 spots that could be used for somebody who had no team.

Don't get me wrong, all the credit in the world to you guys for doing this. I just think that in general, this is something that should be addressed from the top as it's becoming an epidemic across this game. As I said, I am on a team in Eastern Europe A that was, on paper, better than the Maniacs were last season in a capped league. We didn't even make the playoffs and the major reason was zombie teams signed up with slow built, unboosted teams of level 13s on Day 1.
This is something Bort should address as it's just too dominant and if all the playoff spots get taken by such teams, it's bad for business for them in the long term.

Seriously after last year, you decided to take the #8 seed lightly AGAIN this year? On top of that you knew this was a zombie team!?!

lol, it had a lot to do with being burnt out directly DCing 3 teams and contributing to two more defenses that all were in the playoffs at the time. We handily beat the Experiments when we faced them and that was before we boosted as well. Obviously, it was stupid and I take the blame for the loss. If I would have taken them as seriously as I took the Nike game, I guarantee a different outcome. Unfortunately, I didn't and they took advantage of that and kicked our ass. 5 turnovers didn't help things.
