I am helping my new RT with his build, as he is still a lower level. My question is should he have all his equipment in blocking or strength.?

Splitting equipment isn't the best way to go. You are better off dumping it all into strength and pumping more points into blocking.

If it wasn't for caps, then splitting up equipment wouldn't be a big deal, but with the caps, a 20+ boost in a single attribute saves you more SP and if you have a 20+ boost distributed around.

I'll try and find the thread that explains it better...

This guide is all about using your equipment in such a way so that you can save skill points and develop your major skills more quickly then before. Of course this is just my own opinion so you can use your equipment in any way you want, I just personally think this is the best way to do it.

The Main Idea The basic idea here is to put all of your equipment points into the one major attribute that players at all positions have. Their are a couple of reasons why this is the best strategy and should be enforced on your player(s). By following this strategy you will be able to see immediate improvement in your player and be able to save a ton of skill points.

How does it help?
This is a good question and I can explain to you right now why this is the best strategy. First is because of the soft caps. This means that once you get an attribute to 48 it will cost you two points to raise it by 1 and it costs more and more skill points the higher that attribute gets. Equipment becomes the ultimate shortcut though, becuase it only costs you one of your equioment points instead of the 2 the skill pints will cost you. This will eventually save you skill points to use on the other major attributes that are not equipped with equipment. The second reason why this is encourages is because of the natural points you get when you level up. This means that every time you level up you get a certain number of points placed in a major attribute on top of the 5 skill points you assign. The number of extra points you get is based on the current stage it is at. So for example someone with 81 speed will get more natural speed points when he levels up then someone with say 48 speed. So this will let you increase that attribute without wasting 5 skill points on it. This is exactly why I encourage you to put your equipment points into one single attribute.

How does this make me save skill points?
Again this is a good question. It saves you skill points because you are not spending them. This includes all the points you would have to spend at soft caps so it will save you tons. To get a better idea of how it saves you points let's use an example.
Example: Ok lets just say that their is a level 32 CB who has natural speed of 48. This means he gets 20 extra equipment points with all of his upgrades. This user also uses all 6 of his custom equipment points. Now he sees this guide and wisely decides to follow the information and put all 26 of his points into speed. Now his speed is at 74 and he is tearing up his league. But let's figure out how many skill points he has saved. This user has now gone through the 48.07 cap, the 60.52 cap, the 67.98 cap and the 73.25 cap.

It would take him 24 skill points to get from 48 to 60. Then it would take him 24 skill points to get to 70. Then 28 to get to 74. That's 74 skill points you just saved, and, no, that's not a typo. You can then use those points for your other major abilities not equipped with equipment. This is a great way to develop your build so cherish this.

Ok I used my saved skill points to get my other important attributes to the soft cap. Now what should I do?
The truth is it is all up to you on this one. My advice would be to rearange your equipment to balance out the 3 or 4 major attributes, but that will cost you tons of money. If you find the money though you will be saving skill points again so that number will increase. I then recomend to put your skill pints into the minor attributes and of course stamina. So that way you can have all the needed attributes capped and it all starts with managing your equipment. If you have found a better strategy please share it with me as I would like to see it.

I still need your help guys so if their is anything I missed or something I stated incorrectly please tell me via pm. Thanks for reading and please tell me what you think.

Basically, to sum it up, put all of your equipment points into your main stat...it saves a boatload of SP's.

theres no way i'd go all equip on stat for a LOT but for a ROT i'd go all strength. i think a LOT needs to be divided

i would go 2 to 1 with strenght and blocking as opens up positions if team gets bttr ROT or has weaker LOT
